2020 Pats: DT Byron Cowart Tests Positive

What are the alternatives? The players would have been pissed if they went the bubble route as well for 4 months. I don't know what the NFL can do at this point if they want to have anything resembling a season. They close facilities and contact trace. Vast majority of teams have not had any...

The Game Goat Thread: Wk.4 @ KC

"In the grasp" needs to be removed from the rule book. Too many mobile QB's are given the benefit of the doubt these days when we see them spun around only to put a hand on the ground get up and run for 20-30 yards or complete a bomb downfield. Either put flags on them or let them play...

    10/5–Pats at Chiefs

So next time someone has a hand on Mahommes he is in the grasp right? Just making sure for when he breaks a tackle and scrambles for a crucial first down in the 4th Q that the rules are applied consistently which we know they won't.

2020 Pats: Trade Rumors & Speculations

Did they really need to find an "NFL Insider" to realize this trade was never possible given the cap ramifications?

The Game Goat Thread: Wk.2 at Seattle

Goat is Bill, Caserio and scouting dept. I get that the draft is hard but too often recently an average dynasty FFB player would be better suited drafting skill position players than the NE FO and that was on full display last night as the #1 drafted receiver faced off vs the #6 drafted...

2020 Tompa Bay: Tom Tom Club

I can't understand any resentment towards Brady, he was the ultimate team player never complaining about his contract despite rarely being paid as a top 5 QB. Kept himself in phenomenal playing shape and clearly dedicated himself to the team first. Had he gone to an AFC team I'd think...

How many 5th rounders are cut their draft year? This is a terrible outcome.

2020 NFL: Offseason News and Notes

This is where I'm at as well. The Jags may have realized he is just a "jag" at this point buoyed by ridiculous volume in JAX, by most accounts he was a negative in the passing game despite great "fantasy" numbers.

2020 Jets: For Whom the Bell Tanks

I wonder if some teams are devaluing picks in 2021 due to Covid. If CFB gets shortened or compromised in any way those picks really become even bigger lottery tix than usual. Joe Burrow might not be a first rd pick let alone first overall in 2020 if Covid was a year earlier.

    2020 Pats: General/Non-QB Off-Season Discussion

Brown-Thuney-Andrews-Mason-Cannon were fantastic in the playoffs. How much did Michel create on his own is debateable but he was running behind an elite OL.

    2020 Pats: General/Non-QB Off-Season Discussion

The thing about Sony that gets lost in his college production is that almost all of it came against light boxes. He looked good because he had massive lanes and an elite OL paving the way. Chubb was the guy running against loaded boxes on 1/2 down. I did think Sony looked explosive last...

    2020 Pats: General/Non-QB Off-Season Discussion

Two picks I'll never understand was Michel over Chubb and Jermaine Cunningham over Carlos Dunlap. They both went to the same schools and in both cases the higher rated player was passed over. 2010 draft was a franchising altering draft regardless so can't complain too much but Dunlap is still...

June NHL News - we gonna play?

I think the assumption is they won't have a regular 2021 season. Thought they were talking about starting in December, hopefully get this season completed before "second wave" then start 2021 after second wave subsides. That could wreak havoc on the salary cap for the next few seasons though I...

What Do You Want For This Patriots Season

I have one wish, no trading high picks for players unless you are trading with BOB though they don't have anyone outside of Watson worth trading for. Would be great if we could snag an extra high pick for a vet though. If ever there was a year to punt this is it.

    2020 Pats: Roster & Beyond (non-QB edition)

Not to mention the biggest loss on the OL Dante. Last time we didn't have Dante the OL was a train wreck, that could have been part personnel related but regardless bringing in a new OL coach on top of everything else isn't going to be easy.

    RD2 #5/#37: S Kyle Dugger, Lenoir-Rhyne

The pick or the quote? Duke Dawson and Cyrus the Virus didn't age all that well. Don't think Bill and Nick deserve the benefit of the doubt anymore strictly when it comes to the draft. Coaching up a C to a B no one better but drafting a c hasn't been a strength for several years.
