Jayson Tatum Needs His Own Thread

The defense that Tatum plays is on a different level than Luka and Zion. Tatums body has projection he is likley to hit, and that should further improve his shooting. I am not sure Luka or Zion have much physical projection. The obvious thing with them is that Luka will lilkely improve his...

    2019-2020 Celtics Regular Season Thread

I agree i liked what I saw from his D in short minutes last year. There is a history with Brown and Tatum earning their time with thier D (and terry too, who was more intense defensively prior to his final season here) and growing into more complete players from there. Maybe thats a roadmap...

I guess thats my point - (agreeing with you) that he shows enough potential as a defender to consider him potetially capable of being assigned most ball handlers.

I was thinking of guards Langford really shoudn;'t match up against defensively. E.g. - Fox might be a bit of a challnege for him. And there are a couple other super quick folks. Can we expect team defense to allow Langofrd to match up against those quick 1's?

It never ceases to amaze me that i need to be reminded how dominant he was. I remember him as by and far the best, but the stats always puts it in context.

Jayson Tatum Needs His Own Thread

Sign me up for pressing and not quite being ready for the fierce double teams he is facing. The team just doesn't have the type of scoring off of the bench where having two of their four scorers out is easy for them and I think Tatum is trying to lead in these situations. He is not there yet...

    #37 Semi Ojeleye

I wish he bothered more like sized players more with his defense. But (and it is a different error) someone like Bruce Bowen took a while to get going as a shooter too. It wasn't until his late 20s that he put up the volume and consistency on threes made him a 3D guy.

    Grant Williams: breakout rookie?

What do we think his current 3-ball threat is? Given the 0-25 is likley some jitters and self-pressure placed on him. Is his true talent in the 35-40% range on low volume?

    Enes Kanter to Boston

Speculating 3MM-5MM a year isn't too far off though is it? Agreed that I would like him back and is a quality deep depth guy. Just wondering if another team might like him as the primary back up.

    Enes Kanter to Boston

Haha - you are probably right. But even one makes me cringe a bit. Regardless I think he has proven to be an NBA player - and expect him to be back in the league next year. I wonder if it comes down to him versus waters next year for the last ball handler on the team or whether they can...
