What do the Pats do at 23?

Murray or Ruiz if the pick is kept. Murray fits a short term and long term need and Ruiz gives the flexibility to trade Thuney and have a potential Andrews replacement.

2020 NFL: Offseason News and Notes

Won't impact the cap View: https://twitter.com/patscap/status/1248330316130979861?s=20 Great question. Checked the 2006 version of the NFL Bylaws. Teams can trade a retired player's rights so Gronk's $9.25M cap number would never have to hit the Patriots cap. Gronk's active roster bonuses...

Only thing I found interesting is that Belichick is mentioned once by name and it is only in the context of Brady being a 6th round pick and Belichick's assistant calling him to tell him he was being drafted by the Pats.

Interesting. I would be on board. When can players be signed and it won't count against the comp pick formula?

2020 Bucs: TB12 in TB20 - How Far Do They Go?

I would have thought this was a three year deal to get him playing for his age 45 season. Didn't the Pats offer two years over the summer?

No market for him View: https://twitter.com/rapsheet/status/1240046022698717185?s=12 With the #Chargers out of the running, the #Bucs offer to QB Tom Brady is believed to be roughly $30M per year. They are the only known team to make an offer. Tampa Bay has been confident all day and for...

Odd way to spin that. You could say that the Pats told Brady to tell them what he wanted, money/contract length, and he didn't let them know. That take from Curran is mealy mouthed garbage.

    2020 Pats: QB Edition

Agreed regarding Stidham. Any veteran QB is going to take up too much cap space and they won't be worth it. Use the money and shore up other areas of the team and see what Stidham has.

Kind of numb but prepared myself for this as Bill isn't going to hamstring the team with a salary for TB just to sign him for sentimental reasons. Have to think Bill had a number and wouldn't move off it and he has a post Brady plan.
