I suspect the Cs are considering significantly different contracts for each guy. Maybe $20/y for Brogdan and $12-13/y for the other two. I also think Brogdon and Sato could give you 20 mpg at the point, meaning they are additions to Brown and Tatum not alternatives.
This is a great point. Imagine if the Celtics had acquired George Hill at some point in the past couple of years. Now imagine if they had acquired Thon Maker. Many NBA execs understand the difference between competence and potential.
Sorry, but Hayward is a reason for optimism for me. Given how long he was sidelined, I expect him to improve. I think it will be slow, which will aggravate some, but I do think he will be much better in April than he was in December.
