Offseason Thread - Betty when you call me, you can call me Al

I don’t buy that KD would give up control over his destination to GS just to get guaranteed money four years from now.

Al Horford: does he stay or does he go?

I've been of the view that getting rid of Rozier for whatever was on the table last summer was the wise play, primarily because of the somewhat foreseeable chemistry questions. I acknowledge Danny's logic was likely that he needs to keep Kyrie's replacement, and I don't think that value was...

Offseason Thread - Betty when you call me, you can call me Al

I don't think Stevens' system needs a traditional point---having Hayward, Smart, and another player who is a creator is sufficient. Also, getting a big who can pass in the draft is consistent with that structure.

    2019 Draft Megathread

Bol's camp told ESPN they thought he might slide. A litlte surprised they let him come to the draft. I agree with the comment he likely is off a lot of boards altogether---that has to be a part of this, between medicals and teams who already have several bigs he's probably looking at a much...

We really need Isiah Thomas or Magic Johnson to take over as GM for that protection to become relevant.

    2019 Draft Megathread

I don't think so; if they are getting a PG I'd much prefer Russell, who you can at least dream on continuing to develop and fitting the timeline of Brown/Tatum....Langford :)

    2019 Draft Megathread

Well, the odds you are winning the trade are really good when the Suns are on the other side of it, so we've got that going for us. Which is nice.

    Grant Williams - Pick #22

The 3.2 assists from Williams is pretty interesting. I didn't see enough TN games to know how real that is, but sure helps the value if he's a plus passer who can defend at least some bigs.

    2019 Draft Megathread

He has two elite-level skills. That is not true of a single other guy remaining. Will he work out? Very likely not....but you gotta take some shots when you have picks at this point given the roster and such. And he has top 5 pick upside.

The ability to get to the rim and to get FTs is welcome on the roster, at least.

    2019 Draft Megathread

The "team needs" from Marks are pretty funny. Miami's include "role players to play like starters" When would that not be a good thing for a team?
