just throw deep on balt
They (Ravens) had a ton of coverage busts vs Miami. Really wish the Pats had Thornton and Agholor for this one. It would also be nice to have Dugger vs Andrews. I wonder if Phillips, Wilson, or Peppers gets the majority of his coverage reps in man if Dugger is out - probably a combo of but plurality or slight majority Phillips. Bateman has also played well early and Mills has struggled. Bateman is fast, 4.43 40 and already a good route runner. I think we see a lot more zone. I was reading they might do more 3-3 stack but do they have the linebackers/personnel to do that?

I'm not sure Dugger would be our best choice on Andrews anyway. For me, Dugger's role in this game would/should be as a spy on Jackson. I think Dugger is our best open-field tackler and has the speed to keep close to Jackson. Maybe that role falls to Peppers or maybe even Jon Jones if Jack Jones can continue to told down the outside CB role opposite Mills. Maybe DMC on Andrews and Bledsoe playing FS?

Building on that thought… and it goes to general game planning, I guess. Do you run elements in your offense that are similar to what opponents run? I think back to when teams used to try screens against the Pats, and announcers would say “they (the defense) see that play every day in practice”. So would running a RPO heavy game against teams like MIA or BAL be counterproductive?

I believe they did run several against the Steelers. Mac has talked about them practicing it more
I was thinking about this earlier… if it is a RPO but it is a hand off (which in the game ball thread, I think, showed), how do you chart that ? I mean this in terms of growing my own understanding- the difference between a play fake and a RPO pass. Or a shotgun draw, as opposed to a RPO run

What do the Bills have to do with the Ravens? The Ravens' offense of the last few years has revolved around the running game where the Bills offense is much more reliant on Josh Allen's arm.
I just meant that the QB being the leading rusher vs. the Pats has been a problem for the defense and not an advantage.

I read the above stuff about the missing tackle to mean that we should be glad that one piece of the opposing offense may be weakened a bit. That doesn't mean that Jackson running and throwing isn't still a concern. But it could help us get more penetration and pass rush from that side. I'd rather play a team where their offense could hurt us two ways than three.
