Its kind of a big deal right? Were you expecting an investigative report? It took nearly 23 hours to release a 47 word statement with weird spacing?

Wow!! If this is any indication how this is going to be perceived in the locker room or around the league, watch out.
Well, maybe each interaction is a separate violation as is common in legal contexts. Can’t really parse much from that statement, purposefully so.Interesting that the release specifies "violations" (plus) and not "for violating team policies" or a "violation of team policies."
I don't see how Ime ever coaches the C's again.
Isnt this what it is ?Maybe it was a Senior VP who found out Ime was banging his wife?
@riboflav is right though. If that’s what the players take away from all this it’s bad news.Al Horford’s sister has spoken, lock the thread.
This…this is not good. IF this is indicative of Al’s thoughts (no reason to automatically assume it is), and IF there’s any sliver of truth to the SP stuff…this could get very bad very, very fast. A lot of ifs stacked on top of each other, I know.
True, but it would be nice to hear from them and not just weird passive aggressive comments or lyrics on Twitter, especially not from their siblings. I’m sorry but Ive always found the Anna Horford stuff to be bizarre at best.@riboflav is right though. If that’s what the players take away from all this it’s bad news.
I'm assuming most players will think he got screwed (pun intended)@riboflav is right though. If that’s what the players take away from all this it’s bad news.
Maybe, maybe not. What happens on other teams is irrelevant. If rumors are true, and this is impacting other people in the organization, I'm gonna go out on a limb and say those people wouldn't be happy if it were a white guy doing the fucking either.
huh? What did you hear? Who did you hear it from?Isnt this what it is ?
Thats what i heard. possibly another profile wife as well
There will be more info. The Celtics know what is going on with speculation. There isn’t a playbook for every case like this. I am sure they are talking to legal experts and others about how to say more without violating anyone’s privacyIf they give no further official information, then there’s nothing to do but speculate. If the Celts think this is story is going to die down, I think they are really mistaken. This has really been a mess in terms of organizational messaging. And it’s a bummer all around for the players. I really hope the response would have been the same regardless of race, but there are so many subconscious biases who knows.
He seems to have accepted the suspension based on his statementIf Ime thinks he is getting a raw deal, he should fight it, no?
It’s justifiedIt took nearly 23 hours to release a 47 word statement with weird spacing?
He, or more accurately his agent, is negotiating a settlement. Fighting it now would be dumb. And it is certainly for something egregious given the severity of the penalty; it's not a one time tryst. If Ime thinks he is getting a raw deal, he should fight it, no?
Well it’s also a personnel matter in which if they say too much or the slightest incorrect thing they open themselves up to litigation. In this day and age, I wonder if the right move is to just lay out what happened. I know the thought is to protect the victims(if that is even the case since we HAVE NO CLUE WHY), and in an ideal world this is true, nothing would ever get leaked out. However, this will get out, in pieces, among a large pile of speculation and lies, and usually never fully tied together. Because people are generally shitty online, female employees will be harassed when just one random Reddit poster says something about a cousin's friend's sister's hairdresser knows for a fact it was X person, and they are blackmailing him. I hate I'm saying this, but the internet is just too shitty of a place, and if there is enough to warrant this kind of suspension, it's enough info to be at least more forthcoming about what happened to

Oh sure, which suggests the punishment is probably not the bullshit Al’s sister or whomever else things it is.He, or more accurately his agent, is negotiating a settlement. That's obviously not the right move, in any day and any age.In this day and age, I wonder if the right move is to just lay out what happened. No, I think we're going to need more details than we have right now. Anna may be totally wrong, or she could be closer to the truth: we just don't know yet.The public doesn’t have to know the details. Literally the only person’s opinion on all this that matters is Jayson Tatum’s. As long as he’s on board, then it’s all good. If not, they’re going to have to rebuild from scratch again when he forces his way out in a year or two.
It’s has been reported that Mazzulla is Tatum’s guy and said this in June about him.The public doesn’t have to know the details. Guarantee she has information we don't.No, I think we're going to need more details than we have right now. Anna may be totally wrong, or she could be closer to the truth: we just don't know yet.
It will come out, but we certainly should demand more information.
Why wouldn't it be.If that's the attitude in the locker room then they're in a boatload of hot water.
They're already here.Has Kanye or Kyrie weighed in yet? The circus doesn't officially start until the clowns arrive.
No one needs names, but the media is going to chew this to death. If it’s a consensual, but inappropriate, sexual issue as leaked, then there are ways to confirm that and tamper the speculation to some extent (e.g. “inappropriate relationship”) which will ease the transition and enable the team to put this behind them more quickly. What other official information could they give to quell speculation?
Do people expect them to say who he was fucking?
That's not how this works. That's not how anything works.
Oh 100%. I don't know what the right answer is to be honest. However, due to Ime's statement, it sounds like he may have admitted to what happened. If that is indeed the case, I think putting at least an overview of why he's suspended would save some people pain. Then again, people will still dig, maybe just fewer people getting unfairly crapped onWell it’s also a personnel matter in which if they say too much or the slightest incorrect thing they open themselves up to litigation.
Can you elaborate why? That's obviously not the right move, in any day and any age.
If this is really what happened, it’s up to Wyc to tell him to pipe down, he’s not the majority owner. Why wouldn't it be.
Steve just fucked his own team.
He’s interim; could be coach for a year or a day. Who knows what happens.I think going to Mazzula here is a mistake. This is an extremely ugly situation and is going to be a media shit storm. This would be hard enough for him under as just a regular first time coach but I think there aren’t many scenarios where he’s able to navigate this well. It’s an incredibly large ask of someone.
Who would you suggest? Going outside the organization with someone they don't know well (and doesn't know them well) with a week to go before camp??? Should they do an international search over the next week?I think going to Mazzula here is a mistake. This is an extremely ugly situation and is going to be a media shit storm. I think you have to find an experienced coach and try to turn this page. Their window may be so short and it’s taking a major hit here. As an interim you value the continuity but I think a Snyder or some other decently successful former coach at least stands a chance at keeping this to the side.Who would you suggest? That's just not going to happen and not how this stuff works. No one needs names, but the media is going to chew this to death. They’ll need some reinforcements at least. The Vogel idea sounds like a good one. Maybe Brad does a bit more unofficially, or Mazzulla has a few other experienced guys in his network he can convince to join the staff.Who would you suggest? Maybe you find an experienced ex-head coach like Vogel to stick on the bench and help guide Mazzula as was speculated earlier, but no way you can bring in someone brand new to the organization a week before camp starts. Mazzula knows the system and has a rapport with the players. That’s all you can ask for at this point.I think you have to find an experienced coach and try to turn this page.
