A big part of the reason that you are getting such push back is that this idea is repellent to a lot of us. The rules aren’t supposed to be arbitrary based on what will manufacture the most drama.

I'm not saying Mac was bad. He was perfectly admirable in a game where he threw a big INT early in the game and got blown out by 30 points in a football contest that was over at halftime.

They do it all the time in the red zone with Kelce taking the snap. It drives me nuts because it's just so... cutesy. There's absolutely no reason to not just run your standard, incredibly good offense.

But I am not even sure Jimmy was better than Mac. I mean he is on a much better offensive team and he still almost blew the game for his team directly by his actions. Also, the 49ers have a better defense. Pats have them on Special Teams and coaching.

Help me out — what was wrong with the play call on the defensive TD? Seems to me any skill-position player should be able to execute a handoff; it’s not like they had Mahomes hand off to an offensive lineman or something.

Pick up the rock of every single NFL team and you'll find some pretty unsavory characters crawling around. No team gets a pass in that regard.
