On the replay it probably comes back because it bounced off Mane’s arm. But still utter shitshow

Brentford / Burnley really going to plan for both teams.

Brentford front foot and dominating play, but for terrifying direct opportunities from Burnley.

Nick Pope is good and Brentford’s backup GK is a bit shit though, and that’s what’s gonna knock me out of the survivor pool.

Chelsea really not able to threaten against Newcastle, despite dominating possession. No Lukaku, Werner, or Mount today with injury/illness.

Nevermind, Brentford’s back 3 not really defending today.

I’m alright with Mané’s goal coming back. It’s overly harsh to call a penalty for a deflection off an arm, but you can’t score a goal off your arm regardless of innocence.

I literally just thought, the thing that could keep Palace in this despite all this pressure is for City to pick up a red. Wish granted!

Cut over just in time to see Laporte’s excellent open field tackle on Zaha. NFL coaches will be showing that to their cornerbacks.

That’s a really soft red card but Laporte had a complete nightmare and cost his team considerably today

Yeah, it's not clear to me that it was a definite DOGSO, but I'll take it.

Silva deserved a yellow for that shit. Wilf needs to keep his head.

Edit: never mind, looks like Silva did get one. Wilf is lucky not to have gotten one.

It’s just one of those they call with no consistency. There was probably a worse version of that red card in the Arsenal match and it was a yellow. It’s hard to say a tackle 40 yards from goal is a DOGSO but when you play stupid games you sometimes win stupid prizes

My take as well. The earlier match had a worse variant of the same with a more leinient sentence.

I was questioning putting Ayew in the starting XI today (though I understand why he was chosen over Olise), but he's had an excellent game.

Lots of hard miles on him.
He really hurt his ankle ligaments and played on it. He probably needs surgery but they haven’t done it and now he’s probably just playing through discomfort as half the player he normally is. City have scored 0 or 1 in half the matches played this season I wish they’d just shut him down and try to get him fully healthy

So Liverpool is basically counting on one of the forwards to do something on their own to pull out the 3 points. They look terrible.

Reece James with the brace to break things open against Newcastle. Who needs forwards when you have wingbacks?

What a team, this Brighton squad. That third Liverpool goal coming back completely altered the narrative. Top 10 finish is the floor now for Brighton, as far as expectation.

Evertons best game I’ve the season was going to Brighton and bossing them. 2-0 and should have been more. Remember feeling that Brighton were a good side and all the more impressive that Toffees hounded them to death. That was with everyone healthy and Everton playing well, which might as well have been the stone age

I don’t know why Nuno keeps playing Lucas as a 10. He doesn’t have the passing quality to play there.
