Between here and everywhere.
One of Lysell or Dean will be available to the Bruins at 21.

Not that they'll take them, but it'll be nice in 2-3 years when I recall this thread and me saying the Bruins should have picked them.

Lysell is falling and some thought he could go top 10.

I'd like to see the Bruins take a swing at him.

Othmann is another guy who (if he falls) would look good in Black and Gold.
Ask and you shall receive.

Whoa. Color me pleasantly surprised.

Lysell's write up:

“I think Fabian Lysell has the most potential to be picked within the top-five. When you watch him play, you see a player with elite level offensive potential. He’s one of the more exciting players to watch when he has the puck on his stick and always catches your eye even if he’s not your main focus for that game. There are some questions about him, but out of anyone outside the top-10 I think he has the strongest case as the riser here.” – Broad

A 4th Michigan player drafted in round one this time Mackie Samoskevich. Man the Wolverines are loaded this fall.

Also. The fact that the team released the Statement that quickly means that they were planning on drafting him for a while. And this was not a sudden change of plans for Them. Given the fact that something like that (or any Statement) goes thru layers of vetting and reviews (by their legal department and such.

and that’s not a good look for them or the NHL

I mean, it was only LAST YEAR that the Coyotes renounced the rights to their draft pick because of a scandal. To say this is tone deaf would be the understatement of the century, what an amazingly sickening statement that is by Montreal

Prior to the pick, Mailloux appeared to be taking responsibility by asking not to be picked so he could do the work he needed. That doesn't mean he's forgiven, but I think it means he should at least be given the opportunity to earn it by showing his work. By selecting him, the Canadiens as an organization are taking on that responsibility as well and it does not look good for them. I do think there is a path forward where both parties now can show the responsibility and lessons learned in a way that shows growth and improvement, but I think the spotlight is going to make that harder, not easier.

What Bergevin could do to show me he is taking this seriously: share the plan, show your work.

Actually 4 of the first 5 picks in the draft are Michigan players as Luke Hughes is committed to them well. So in turn Michigan had 5 first round picks this season and also had Johnny Beecher on the roster as well.

Remarkably, it’s actually 5 if they all come back bc Luke Hughes is Michigan-bound.

edit: my bad posting this as I see it was already stated above. Anyway, I watch Michigan a lot and I do still think Beecher will get a ton of minutes. Out of their elite forwards, he’s the only one with that size and physicality. He hasn’t clicked yet but hopefully next year is a big step forward

Ya I corrected myself this morning. 4 of the top 5 is incredible. Michigan should be heavy favorites to win it all this year.

Bruins take C Brett Harrison at #85.
He’s a 6’2” 185 Center from London, Ontario. Played in Finland on loan from Oshawa last year. Central scouting had him ranked #50 for NA skaters.
