yep, that's the reasoning on it, you can only goaltend a legal shot attempt. An inbounds isn't a shot so it can't be goaltended

I think the refs were thinking that a tip takes 2/10s of a second, and the tip was inside the rim. Crazy play, poorly defended by the Clippers, who gave this steal a victory game away with the missed George FTs

True on both counts. I can't stand CP3, but the Suns are fun w/out him.

If I were a Suns fan I never would have lived to see the Bender or Josh Jackson picks because I would have ended it all after my favorite team selected Alex Len fifth overall.
That screen, pass and tip under those circumstances is one of the best plays I've ever seen. Three things done well with no room for error.
