Oosty is like a poor mans Koepka. Always in the mix in majors but only 1 win. 5 2nds, a 3rd and T1 through the first round here.

Yeah it does. One of the problems with having a major at a regular tour stop. And Torrey is pretty meh as a course.
There are a lot of holes on this course that are kind of samey. Long and relatively straight fairways. If they bend it's nothing crazy. Fairway bunkers flanking the fairway on one or both sides of the landing zone. Green complexes are kind of generic with bunkers either flanking the sides or short. And the course seems really flat or at least lacks interesting undulation in a lot of areas. It's a weak US Open course and strikes me as more of a PGA Championship track.

Meanwhile, Dylan Wu — a Korn Ferry player who's one back — is a from here.

Justin Rose is having a horrible week. 78 yesterday and he's +5 thru 8 holes today. +12 and in 2nd to last place in the field.
I’ve been paying attention to Justin because a “betting expert” on Golf Channel earlier this week pegged him as a sure bet for a top 10 finish. Oops!

I have no problem with the Golf Channel crew and NBC. Pretty bland but not too annoying. But holy shit, the commercials. And the drops during coverage. It is literally unwatchable live. The USGA should be ashamed.

Most of the attention will be on Rahm and Bubba, but Morikawa quietly carded a 67 in the second round to hover just on the periphery of contention. Streelman has also had two solid under-the-radar rounds, and has been playing consistent golf for several months now.

And of course the biggest question of all--will Koepka and DeChambeau, both at E, be paired together? Must see TV.

The Bland story is classic US Open. Really love it, would be thrilled if he somehow pulled it off.

Brooks and Bryson need to have good day. Brooks looked like he was hurting again yesterday... there was a shot of him after the round doing some swing practice and limping back to his bag.

It says something about this tournament that there hasn't been any posts today, despite the fact that we're 8 hours deep in terms of coverage. But it has been boring thus far.

Maybe it's the prime time golf. It throws off the watching schedule.

Partially watched because of Euros, seems like the course is playing easier than usual US Open? -6 in the lead? Is this being talked about or am I way off here?

Going to be a great final round. Other than checking on my ribs cooking I have nothing planned all day. My wife has the kids by the pool. This is great.
