On the other hand, the anti-climatic nature of this round gets us in the frame of mind for the draft

Two lucky breaks in a row for Hideki. I think those are the bounces that seal this for him. It could have been right but not now.

Yup Hideki has been great. He deserves the lead he has, but he has had amazing luck all week as well. he has put a ton of balls in the woods with no price paid for them. that tee shot on 13, could have easily been dead, and looking at 6 or 7, instead bounces right back into play, and gets the 4.

But that always is the case at Augusta, you have to play great and get lucky. I remember Angel Cabrerra in the 2009 Masters going to sudden death and hitting a brutal teeshot, which could have been dead, but instead bounced right out to the middle of the fairway, setting up his championship

Obviously he won’t win but Spieth is a machine at Augusta. 5th top 5 in 8 events.

So what’s the right move here? Leave it short on the fringe to take a huge number out of play?
I gotta give Faldo credit he analyzed that perfectly. He has to take 7 or more out of play there, which is exactly what he did.
