Tom Brady being Tom Brady. Man I miss seeing him in a Patriots uniform.

Why?
if you see a penalty you throw the flag. If an official waits five seconds after the fact, I would think the correct assumption would be to question why that’s the case and to wonder if they were influenced by something beyond what they saw in real time.
That’s because your assumption is that a referee saw the play, and is making up his mind. Far more likely is that the receiver is somebody else’s responsibility, and the official who DOES see it is letting them have first crack at it before stepping in

I have never understood the "let them play" mentality... what does not calling obvious penalties have to do with a good game. It just means you are deciding a game just by not calling penalties.
Agree. But they didn’t call a DPI or hold all game, and it was obvious out there, especially in the 4th qtr. The Bucs got their interception on an obvious hold, not called.

10 Super Bowls in 21 years. Just let that sink in. Incredible.

Although Packers could have won that game several times if they executed and didn’t have some really bad coaching decisions.

21 years. Really 19 because his first year he was a 4th stringer and he missed all of 2008. So out of 19 years actually playing in the NFL, he’s been to TEN Super Bowls.

Absolutely unfathomable.

California. Duh.
Everybody knows he's winning #7, right?
Well, it's either:

- #7 for Brady
- Mahomes gets revenge for the AFCCG loss and becomes the first guy since Brady to go back-to-back.
- Loss #4 for Brady against the team best known for losing 4 in a row.

The best part of the behind replay is that shows the guy grabbed the jersey initially... then switched hands and grabbed it again with his other hand. I mean maybe you give him the first grab where he stretched the shirt all the way out, but then he goes and grabs it again with the other hand? You earned taht flag.
Exactly, foul has to be beyond the pale to flag and that one was beyond the pale

10 in 20 as a starter. And would have been 11 if he didn't get Pollard-ed

Only the first option is a good one.

Run. Up. The. Score.

Go get that 7th one, Tom!

Yes the refs are shit (they're always gonna be BTW), but GB got only six points off three second half turnovers and kicked an idiotic field goal that left them still needing a TD.

This is on Rodgers. His defense gave him the ball three times with a chance to take the lead or tie the game, and he got only a FG.
If his defense just played prevent at the end of the first half the game is still going.

Rodgers was no worse than Brady, the Bucs D made stands after Brady's last two Picks.

semantics, i guess, but bummed that the year we finally get a home team super bowl, we're hit with the pandemic. would be incredible to see the place completely packed with bucs fans, who would probably pay anything to be there and get all of the tickets.

The no calls earlier should have pissed you off, not that.
They did. It was ridiculous. I'm not talking just about that one play. Which was only questionable due to not baking so many others.

Officiating has been poor for years but this season has been atrocious. Guys get tackled and no call then they call other random things.

NFL really needs to take a look at it but won't. I'm not the only one i know who feels it affects the product.

Glad for Brady though. Nothing but the best for him

Rogers not scrambling to the goal line cost them a shot at winning. Still did not understand the FG try, you have to go for it with 2 minutes left.

Story of the game was the Bucs’ fourth quarter defense. They shut down the league’s MVP on three drives on the road.

Because they made the mistake of going for two earlier in the game, and their great QB threw into coverage instead of running five or six yards (or possibly scoring) and making the going for it on fourth down a no brainer (assuming it wasn't already).
Excellent point. At worst you are looking at 4th and short if he somehow does not get in.

Ha, one of my favorite takes, good call out. For years Niners fans ran around pumping up their undefeated SB record, as if it was better to lose in an earlier round.
Believe me, I got it all the time from Steelers fans. Brady lost three Super Bowls!!! Yeah what a terrible way to end a season, by beating almost everyone else.

I almost feel bad for LaFleur over how much shit he is going to take for kicking that fg.

That was a broken brain move
