Having seen him endure playing with some... sub par attacking options over the better part of a decade, he gets a pass from me for the most part
Yeah I must be an unlikable spectator because I had pretty much the same reaction as Wilf did.
It's good to see Clyne back out there healthy. He always did a solid job for Liverpool when available.
He was never a world-beater defensively but he's regressed noticeably this season in that area.
He also doesn’t have any positional awareness or passing vision. He’s pretty dreadful.
Keita and Minamino both not really knowing their role is making a black hole on the Liverpool left.
I haven't given up on him.It's a big jump from the Austrian league to the top of the Premier League.
He hasn't gotten any run of games, and when he does play he's taking the spot of one of Mane/Salah/Firmino, who work together as well as any front three in the world, so it's not a surprise that there's a dropoff in awareness when he's out there. He's definitely got some talent that he's shown in flashes, we will see if he can develop it in this side.
At times Klopp's played Minamino in midfield, where he looks even more lost - his ideal role is probably tip of the diamond in a 4-4-2 / false 9 in a 4-3-3, looks like he's shifted centrally now off the left as well.

Mane does so well against CP defenders as they are big defenders that can't handle his quickness on the ball.

Clyne was such a steady and dependable presence for ‘pool. That neck ratio suggests he lost his mind at some point.
Yeah there didn't look like there was much in that by Clyne. I'm surprised they didn't score a fourth.
yet another stupid VAR knock on effect .. or, in this case the sideline official being told to keep the flag down.
It’s so satisfying to score that third goal after Van Anholt pulls the fake tough guy and then doesn’t even run hard back to his position. I’m sure they let him know about it in the celebration too.
