See? I told you it would be fun to win a second round game. You know what else will be fun? A 2-0 series lead.

The first line took care of business in game one. The second line will take care of business in game two.

Bloody their souls and steal their hope.

I don't think so tonight. Maybe tomorrow night, depending on how tonight's game goes. They could change things up tomorrow to get some fresh legs and energy in on the 2nd leg of a back to back.

Ritchie and Bjork are the whipping boys around here but they were actually OK the other night.

Bjork has some upside, and got a couple of good chances. Ritchie is bad at everything. I think this team can bring the physicality without having to dress someone specifically for that role.

How big of an impact is McDonagh being out?
Leads Tampa D in average time on ice so far in the playoffs, Hedman's obviously their horse and will pick up extra minutes, but they usually keep Hedman and McDonagh apart so they can have 1 of them on the ice for ~50 minutes or so of the game.

Another good sign for Kase getting a goal tonight. Hedman will get minutes against the Bergeron line, leaving the 2nd line against inferior defensemen.

No lineup changes for the Bruins, per Butch.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Krejci - Kase
Ritchie - Coyle - Bjork
Nordstrom - Kuraly - Wagner

Chara - McAvoy
Krug - Carlo
Grzelyck - Clifton

Tampa also prefers to match up the McDonagh defense pairing against the Bergeron line. Not having McDonagh is a huge blow for them. He's probably their 3rd or 4th most important player, IMO.

Have to wonder if he's out tomorrow as well given the back to back games.

I wonder if given the B2B that he's given the day to get better and try to play in Game 3. If he was at all close to playing tonight and further aggravated whatever he has, he's out for both games.

Local broadcasts get the first round of the playoffs. Everything from the conference semifinals on is NBC-family-only in the US

Who was responsible for this horrible schedule? Could they really not figure out how to get two games on TV a night, with four series, one in the east and one in the west?

It sucks, but they're just trying to get out of these bubbles as quick as they can. Every day they shave off saves them money, gets the players/staff back to their families. extends the offseason which gives them more room to figure out a plan for next season, etc.

Has there ever been a guy we've collectively wanted to get a goal more than Kase? Dude's been an abolute treat to watch.

With McD out tonight, It definitely makes it harder for Tampa to line match against bergeron and Krejci.

If he was out game three the Bruins could have set the lines however they wanted anyways. So this will really test Tampa and how they want to defend the top two lines. Losing him for any game this series is a big hit to Tampa's back line, doesn't help that this is a de facto home game and they're down one at the start of the series.

Hopefully they can cash in with Hedman having to play even extra minutes.

It’s because he works hard at every facet of the game and contributes even when his shots don’t find the twine.

Here’s hoping that he gets a hat trick tonight.

But if he needs to stay stuck at zero for the Bruins to win Game 2 then I will accept that outcome (and proclaim that he will break the schneide in Game 3).

Go B’s.

Win.

Disapointed that Ritchie is still in tonight and not Studs but I understand csshea's logic.

If Ritchie is going to play then he needs to play the enforcer role or he's useless. Bjork has talent.

I had no idea this NBC crew was broadcasting remotely last game until just now. They did a great job

Given the circumstances for sure. I did notice Doc a little behind a few times early on. Maybe we get the picture slightly before the audio. But it deemed like they've synced it up pretty good.
