And again!

and then Moise Kean clear in and pushes wide.

Firmino with a mini highlight reel the past few minutes.

Everton drop into the relegation zone. Surely this is it for Silva.

Random, but I am loving the staggered 7:30 - 8:15 kickoff times of the midweek fixtures. I wish they did the 45 minute offset on the weekends - got to watch the entire first half of MU / Spurs during the leadup to Liverpool / Everton, and caught the end during halftime of the 8:15 match.

Every UCL/UEL matchday reinforces that UEFA has a lot to learn from US Sports broadcasters, especially how the NCAA does March Madness.

Freddie going with another somewhat interesting lineup for his first home game. Notable players on bench: Pepe, Tierney, and Guendouzi. Guendouzi is presumably getting some rest. It's going to be interesting to see when Pepe is deemed actually ready to go after falling completely out of favor. I wonder if Tierney is nursing an injury.

Leno
Bellerin - Sokratis - Luiz - Kolasinac
Xhaka - Torreira - Willock
Aubameyang - Lacazette - Ozil

Crikey Arsenal down a goal at home to Brighton, who tend not to travel well. I missed the first half but I'm rooting for Freddie and the Gooners.

Lacazette evened it up. Arsenal having a go, but Brighton still getting some joy - Arsenal look dodgy defending crosses/corners.

Order restored Luiz gets on the end of a set piece and scores, nice finish....no no no, he's off side, clearly offside.

Maupay scores with a lovely glancing header, so glad it wasn't Tierney's fault. he's just come on and he's not really at the races.

Well done Brighton. Huge three points. Arsenal need more than an apprentice caretaker. They need an experienced manager and they need one now.

How dare you all ignore the fact that Jonjo Shelvey has scored in two straight? If he does it a third time Blood Mary appears; you'll all be sorry then.

EDIT: Andy Carroll had the goddamned assist! And it was the best goal in football history! FFS, people, get hyped.

Real nice win for Brighton, first ever road win at Highbury/Emirates. I realize Arsenal is in the crapper at the moment, but still. Lots of good ball movement, positive play. That was a lively game.

Quick turnaround for Wolves at the Amex on Sunday. That's a winnable--and loseable--match.
