Syracuse loses Brycen Goodine, Howard Washington, and Jalen Carey to transfer. That’s...all of their backup guards. Kadary Richmond, come on down!

It was a good way to end the season (or as good as can be, given the circumstances). I hope that gives them confidence going into next year. Should be an interesting group, even if they lack a playmaker to really put them over the top.

Way too much UConn in this thread. Have to balance it out. View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RXdxKN8PDZA Malachi's 3 goggles: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4XtT_NliFc And from further back: View: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MuJTcSXgboU

March Madness to be held without fans

Booked with what? Anything that involves thousands or even hundreds of people gathering together is going to get cancelled in the next two weeks. [Edit: Sorry, I think I misinterpreted your point.] This is going to be profoundly weird as a TV viewer. Crowd noise makes a huge difference when...

Yesterday, Dick Vitale said that Syracuse was one player away from being really good. Unfortunately, that player is Derrick Coleman. I think he's exactly right. If Cuse had one of the three best players in program history, they would be really good. It's just the kind of insightful commentary...

Syracuse got a commitment from Dior Johnson, 5-star PG in the 2022 class. This is probably their biggest recruiting win since Melo, though obviously a lot can happen between now and 2022 (the NBA could (probably will) end the one-and-done rule, Dior could decide to play in Australia or China, he...

    Betts/Price to LA for Verdugo/Jeter Downs/TBA

I would argue that the days of a baseball player reaching that level are gone. Trout hasn't reached that level, and I don't see anyone else in the game today with a chance.

Alex Verdugo, new Red Sox star!

The article is one thing, but I just watched that video and...what are people upset about? He answered a bunch of questions about an injury in a super banal way. I think he even literally said "I'm just trying to take it one day at a time." His beard is offensive, but I rooted for Buchholz, so I...

Sox talking Mookie trade with Dodgers, Padres - News & Discussion

Gotta be Trout, right? In all seriousness, I wonder if the third team is a way to get back a starting pitcher.

Your premise -- that Bill Simmons can get people (including me) to listen to just about anything -- is exactly right, but I was disappointed in the Re-Heat. This is one instance in which I think Simmons and Ryan needed someone with new insights to join them. They've now spent something like 4...

I tried to find issue with this and could not. I think I concur. Hart vs. Autry is a good debate. Regarding this year's team, I want to believe, but I also think they have beaten 3 bad teams and two mediocre ones (UVA and VT). Still, it's better than losing to those mediocre teams. There is a...

Maybe I was wrong about Buddy. He loses consciousness for a stretch just about every game.

You should watch King of New York anyway because it's awesome, but I listened to every minute of the Unstoppable podcast and I've never seen that movie. My guess is this will be similarly rewarding even if you're unfamiliar with the movie. But again, it's worth the watch.

Yeah I guess I just got tired of watching him brick shot after shot in the first half. Totally agree about the zone. Most teams have too many shooters now.
