2019 Game Goat Thread: Wk. 17 vs Dolphins

I think they're arguably a top 2 team. Officiating fucked them against the Chiefs, or we would have been resting players today and unconcerned about the outcome. And it's not like the Chiefs cruised to victory today - the Chargers could easily have won. Division games are often a rock fight...

Tackling. Just inches short of making big plays throughout the game.

Bad throw, but still looked like blatant DPI to me (and maybe even a facemask).

    #DFG: Canceling the Noise

If the balls were at 12.5 psi before the game, then undoubtedly they'd be below that at half time due to the temperature, right?

The Game Ball Thread: Week 15 vs the Dolphins

Despite the poor matchup I actually thought the coverage on Wallace was pretty good; just a good throw and great catch.

    Mankins with 2 TD yesterday

Sure, now that the game has happened it's easy to say Wendell played well, but I think Phragle's right to stick to his pregame assessment - Suh against Wendell is a mismatch and clearly Wendell's worst of the season.  Looking at how it actually played out just invites hindsight bias. ...

The worst thing about this is that even if it's a catch, the defender stops his forward progress in bounds and the clock should continue to run, which might have ended the game by itself.

    The new look OL

To be fair, typically they're not allowed to cross the line until after the snap.

Revis the Patriot: Countdown to March 10th

I thought he played pretty well today.  Not sure there was much he could do on the long throw down the sideline; looked like a great route and timing between the QB and receiver.

The AFCCG Post Game Thread: at Denver

Does anyone have any thoughts on why both lines looked so bad?  I mean, I get that a talent infusion would help, but the O-line in particular had appeared to be gelling as the season progressed, and I didn't expect Denver's D to present such a formidable challenge.

    The Welker Hit on Talib

Maybe "lunge" would be better than "dive", but it looks to me like Talib's taking a path that doesn't put him on course for any contact, so Welker makes a last-second adjustment to hit him.

    The Welker Hit on Talib

I thought it was uncharacteristic for a Denver pick play, in that Welker basically dove into Talib, whereas usually their picks are less obviously OPI because the routes are tightly choreographed.  I think diving into Talib made it a borderline dirty play, though I think the intention was to set...
