Americans Abroad 2021-22: The Hype Train Is Leaving The Station

Three assists for Aaronson yesterday in Leeds 6-2 pre-season win over Cagliari. Adams also played reasonably well. Insert comment about quality of competition.

The Arms (Errr, Legs) Race: 2022 Summer Transfer Window

Looks like it's official per the Beeb that Raphinia is going to Barcelona for £49M, with another potential £5M in "add-ons", whatever that means. I don't like the fact that Barca get rewarded with a lower fee given all their financial gamesmanship, but I suppose it's a benefit for Leeds that...

The Arms (Errr, Legs) Race: 2022 Summer Transfer Window

They've invested early to fill gaps, with a few more to go. My understanding is the team will use much of the transfer funds to get as close to replacing them as possible. Of course the new players won't be equivalent but a larger squad with better overall talent is the goal. They essentially...

The Arms (Errr, Legs) Race: 2022 Summer Transfer Window

I see Liverpool has secured the transfer of Calvin Ramsay from Aberdeen for £4.5M. There are some add-ons, and apparently a 20% sell on clause. They also landed Fabio Carvalho from Fulham for a mere £5M. Is it me, or do those fees seem low compared to others in this current market?

Pretty good match. I'm impressed by Lewis O'Brien. Leeds were interested in him last year.

How to help Leeds survive the drop

No s&*t! Just demoralizing, and after last week, I don't see them staying up. But we will just have to see.

Yeah, but who's in 2nd? The ongoing Bundesliga thread

Let's hear it for Bochum, my friend Bruno's favorite team. Storied past, promoted last season, and sure to remain in the first division.

How to help Leeds survive the drop

Big 3 points for the Whites today over fellow strugglers Watford. They certainly didn't look great, but are definitely more solid defensively, earning their first clean sheet of the year. They now have a 9 point gap over Burnley in 18th, 5 over Everton in 17th, albeit having played more games...
