Xavier Tillman to Celtics for 2 2nd round picks

Tillman was 266 lbs at his draft combine weight, he looks to be heavier than that now but to his credit still moves really well, overall a very nice asset for coach Mazzulla to have at his disposal.

What if you could change one thing - Red Sox edition

Not the thing, but two of the top ten I would change, trading Cecil Cooper and his sweet swing for George Scott, and letting Ellis Burks go.

    Minor League Thread 2024

Prospect tilt has David Sandlin highlighted among prospects just outside the top 100. mid-90s fastball that can touch 98 (reports of him touching triple digits in the offseason) and a slider with good H movement. The changeup and splitter also flash as potential plus pitches from what I’ve seen...

Sox trade John Schreiber to KC for minor league right-hander David Sandlin

I think it indicates he was lucky, benefiting from a low BABIP.

Lucas Giolito signs 2 year, 38.5M contract with Red Sox (opt-out after 1 year, potential 3rd year option)

He was traded twice, his last twelve games in 23 where he really struggled were split evenly between LA and Cleveland.

Noah's Arc: Song back, assigned to GVL.

I was curious if anyone had been selected twice via the rule 5 draft, Shane Victorino is the only example I could find.

    Pick #38- Jordan Walsh

I’m betting on Carl Anthony Towns, three series, four wins, career earnings of 145 million, with five years and 250 million remaining.

    Pick #38- Jordan Walsh

I saw that post, to me it looked like the last rep of the set. Given he weighed 204 at the combine, I don’t think functional strength is an issue.

    The Celtics Offseason

He also doesn’t know much about basketball, per Michael Pina at the ringer: “There were 49 players who averaged at least 15 shots per game last season, and VanVleet’s 39.3 field goal percentage ranked 49th. Out of 77 players who drove the ball at least 500 times, his minus-1.82 quantified...

    Kristaps Porzingis to Celtics!!!!!

Isaiah Thomas was better than “good for about a year”, he played 32.2 minutes a game over 179 games, averaging 24.6 points and 6 assists, played played with passion, even while hurt.

    Kristaps Porzingis to Celtics!!!!!

It’s not a given that it is two late firsts, a significant injury to Thompson or Curry, potentially combined with Green opting out could make the Warriors pick a late lottery pick.

Not Being a Joker, We Need A The Finals Thread

As one of the old timers who watched him in college and the pros, Walton’s defense, shot blocking, and rebounding were better.

    Round 4 • Pick 10 (112) • K Chad Ryland

NE had a touchback percentage of 42.06% in 2021, and 36.47% in 2022, good for 30th place, hard to do worse than that.
