The normative gradient in SoSH that sports fans ought to be able to express themselves properly in terms of rigorous analysis, well expressed writing, and a respect for at least some baseline of human dignity is just a stunning cultural achievement that most people I know wouldn’t believe possible in given so many of the problematic facets of sports fan culture. SoSH is a special place."
