Packers: Rodgers’ Chances of Returning to GB in Jeopardy

Yeah, humorless I know. Just following the format of adding the team name for any thread not about the Pats.

Pats Draft Rd.1/15: QB Mac McCorkle Jones

Having a starting QB with a $4m/yr contract gives BB so much flexibility. If—and not a huge one at that—Jones pan out as even a sightly above-average playcaller, NE would have acquired NFL's most sought-after commodity type without spending any extra assets.

Pats Draft Rd.5/177 LB Cameron McGrone

Do you see him strictly as a 2-down LB @SMU_Sox? I thought Roberts made more than his share of misdiagnosis on plays and crashed the wrong gap. Is DeGrone better in this aspect?

Pats Draft R7/242: WR Tre Nixon

Evan Lazar wasn't excited about this pick, especially with Cade Johnson still on the board. Nixon missed most of the season in 2020: UCF receiver Tre Nixon and running back Greg McCrae are entering the 2021 NFL draft, passing on an extra year of eligibility the NCAA granted all athletes due...

Pats Draft R6/197: OT William Sherman

Not a lot of info on the Colorado OT. The always-excellent Dane Bugler from The Athletic had this to say: We know NE has done a great job coaching up corners and OL. Sherman looks like another late-round project for the staff.

Pats Draft Rd6/188: S Joshua Bledsoe

It's not a NE draft without a safety getting picked, although this one came late. From The Draft Network: It's clear BB has emphasized run defense and pass rush as the priority for next year's makeup. Perhaps Bledsoe can be stashed in the PS and continue to develop?

Pats Draft Rd.5/177 LB Cameron McGrone

Another high-character LB from Michigan. I guess BB, Ernie, and the rest of the F.O. only scouted Alabama, Oklahoma, and Michigan last year. From The Draft Network: BB was honest when he said he'd value the 2019 tapes more than 2020. I'm thinking he has a decent ceiling given the fact that he...

Packers: Rodgers’ Chances of Returning to GB in Jeopardy

Still, trading Love doesn't turn back the time when GB decided not to give Rodgers a chance to tie the game on 4th-and-goal vs Tampa last year. Add the Packers' absolute refusal to grab offensive weapons at the top of the draft & you got an unsolvable situation. Of course, this is all fun and...

Pats Draft Rd.2/38: DI Christian Barmore

The thing is, you can look at numbers & production and still come up with the wrong prediction. Take a look at one take on Chandler Jones' draft profile. He has the former Patriot behind Jake Bequette & no higher than a 3rd round grade: View...

Pats Draft Rd.3/96: EDGE Ronnie Perkins

Must say, my enthusiasm has considerably deflated after @SMU_Sox's albeit terrific post. But as a late-3rd rounder, if he can make the team in year-1 and find ways to improve from there, perhaps a decent backup/spot-starter could be his career in NE. I'd be fine with that as a cost-controlled...

Not only I was oblivious to the joke, I can't count to 4. I can't even excuse myself as being late at night as it's about 3 PM.
