So long, Framingham Lou (and other WEEI discussions)

Good heavens, that'd be awful. Rich and almost anyone else (probably not Adam Jones) might have a shot at competing with F&M. Rich and Gresh would be suicide by shouting.

    Deadspin is Burning

Well, that seems like the logical conclusion to that story.

Toucher and Hardy: The new 98.5 morning show

Fred's fascination with it is precisely what makes it so weird! I have the same tastes. Give me Julie Bowen, Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Toyota Jan.

Toucher and Hardy: The new 98.5 morning show

I think the concept is funny and the women they've included is clever. Fred is making it more weird and less funny than it should be. (and I think my posts here show that I'm not an anti-Fred poster)

I can't decide whether I think March Flatness is funny or cringeworthy, but I'm leaning toward the latter.

    Patriots' 2024 Free Agency Thread

Well, yeah. And signing a bunch of middling free agents around Mac Jones - and then screwing him over in years two and three - probably delayed that rebuild by three years. I’d rather they keep the powder dry this year, see how things lie in training camp and then act accordingly. If you end up...

    Patriots' 2024 Free Agency Thread

There's a reason SOSH is the only place I go for fan-based local sports content. Even at its game-thready worst it never remotely comes close to the dumpster fire of twitter/facebook/some of the people on my group text

    Deadspin is Burning

I’d argue the opposite. The funbag and jamboroo are fratty KSK throwbacks, playing the hits to his fans. He still does good work elsewhere but his regular bits haven’t changed.

    Deadspin is Burning

That's definitely true. It was pretty douchey for a long time. Defector mostly keeps away from that stuff but Magary's still very much the same as he ever was

    Deadspin is Burning

Never, and I doubt it'll ever happen. Daulerio's been on an image rehab tour the last few years (following a stint in actual rehab). I haven't seen anyone be particularly hard on him, and he even did an interview with Jenn Sterger as part of the tour.

Who starts Week 1 at QB for the Patriots?

This is sort of where I was headed with my question. If you're easing a rookie QB in but a) not giving them meaningful snaps and b) having them sit behind a flawed stopgap (this isn't Brady in Tampa or even Montana in KC), aren't you effectively punting a season? Are you shooting for another...

Who starts Week 1 at QB for the Patriots?

Someone help me out with the Brissett love affair - to be clear I’m not against it, but I need someone. To make the case beyond the following - Competent NFL starter that won’t lose games, won’t kill the cap, and gets the #3 pick a year to acclimate to the league? or Familiar name from the...

Toucher and Hardy: The new 98.5 morning show

B911 is pretty work intensive outside of the regular show (including whatever pre/post show stuff they all do) if I remember right. I miss it but I get it. I also got the sense Fred hated Fart Court, especially since they were doing it three times a week toward the end. I don’t miss that at all.

    Peter King Retires*

Back in the early oughts, at my first job out of college, we used to print out MMQB and read through it at lunch (remember not eating at your desk?). Same for Simmons and a few others. I won't miss King - I haven't read him in years - but I am nostalgic for those days. @InstaFace put it as...

How do we feel about Matthew Slater announcing his retirement?

Love the thread title. Great Patriot, great person. Not often a special teams specialist lasts as long as he did at such a high level. He will be missed.
