Watching Beecher, Boqvist, Brazeau, Wotherspoon and Peeke skate as a unit Saturday drove home the realization as to how much of a transition this team has made from last year's record-setting regular season squad. That they are in the fight for the top spot in the east makes it all the more...

Using the unsung approach, it would be between Morgan Geekie and Danton Heinen were I voting. If I were betting however my money would be on Charlie Coyle. A local boy having a career season just feels right.

When it comes to the Bruins' 7th Player Award are there any agreed upon criteria? Is it a gut feeling, popularity contest or statistical outcomes? Who decides?

Would you sign Heinen for 3 X $2MM/yr. next summer?

How can this be the same Lindholm who played like a Norris candidate for a good part of last year? He is close to unwatchable lately. So which is the real one? First half of last year or right now?

    1/11 - Bruins @ Golden Knights - Knight Moves

#73 was a man possessed in the 3rd. Given the recent history of OT losses I would have had him out there to start instead of #27. I know you have to use Lindy at some point but he looked gassed all night.

Absolutely need to minimize Pasta in OT. He puts no effort into it whatsoever. He can be so lazy and careless at crucial times. The B's fought hard to get to that point and didn't deserve his lackadaisical approach.

    1/8 - Bruins @ Avs - Bourque Bonus

Danton Heinen is the best $775K investment this team has made in recent memory. He just doesn't have much puck luck, but not for a lack of good opportunities. And except for the occasional squirrelly pass (a couple of those tonight) Wotherspoon looks like he could develop into a useful...

I hope Boqvist doesn't replace one of our 4th line regulars who are starting to jell as a unit. He's shown about as much as Patrick Brown in the fleeting glimpses we've had.

I never thought these words would leave my lips but whatever happened to Forbort? For every clever play on the rush there are a half dozen instances of #6 watching the goalie retrieve the puck from the net. He's going to be a good one eventually but right now he is a liability to this team. So...

I just don't get folks wanting to cut Heinen or demote him or put him on the 9th floor. He's not blocking any rookies (all centers) and has played solid, error-free professional hockey for well under a million. What is not to like?! He might not score >12 goals, but he kills penalties...

What is the feeling about Wotherspoon's play? He seems to have replaced Mitchell as the 7th d-man and won some of Monty's confidence. Strictly eye test, but he seems to be a steady presence and fulfills some of the functions you wish Forbort would practice on a regular basis. Bottom line, for...
