Round 1 Bruins-Leafs
Although I don't put much stock into it, the Bruins did go 4-0-0 against the Leafs in the regular season. Two early season wins that needed extra time: a 3-2 shootout win on November 2nd, and a 4-3 overtime win a month later (which involved surrendering a 5v6 goal). Then a pair of 4-1 regulation...- durandal1707

You really can't complain if you're hanging your playoff hopes on a team with -26 goal differential winning in regulation. Red Wings lost to the Caps last week, and given that Pens choked away a playoff spot to the Cats last year,, it's rather fitting that the Bruins essentially eliminated them...- durandal1707

In absolute agreement that this has been an exceptional "bridge" year for this team. They lost a Hall of Fame caliber possession wizard two-way center (and it does show at times) but the kids and role players have stepped up and the goalies have earned their hugs. Choose the opponent?
I went with Tampa. Yes, the regular season record seems to suggest that the Bruins fare much better against the Leafs (4-0-0 vs TOR, as opposed to 1-1-2 against TBL). But the regular season is weird, both in terms of teams meeting each other at weird times (uneven rest, injuries, slumps, etc.)...- durandal1707
