    Gameweek 35: Money for nothing & relegation-free

Leicester losing today would be great news for West Ham, Liverpool, and Spurs.

I think he's more on fringes of first-choice? He's 11th on the team in minutes, with 27 starts and 18 sub appearances in all comps. He's definitely been useful and he's only 20, so there's still a lot of growth. But he hasn't really lit it up there yet.

They tried to get younger and and spent a ton of money on Jovic, Mendy, Vinicius, Militao, and Rodrygo but only Mendy has established himself in the first XI.

IOW, Levy is implicitly admitting he massively screwed up in hiring Mourinho, who is none of these things.

Madrid look old and slow. Ramos is already on a yellow, now that the game is gone he's definitely getting a second one in the last few minutes, right?

This feels perfectly set up for a Madrid gut punch, like a cheap VAR penalty or something. You can't waste that many good chances to put a team away and get away with it.

This is skewed a little by Jose mostly only playing Bale at home against weaker sides. Bale's goals have come against Brighton, Burnley, Palace, Southampton, and Sheffield United, all in home games.

Mourinho getting rehired so quickly may also save Spurs a lot of money in severance.

Sheffield United are not good but ... why couldn't Spurs have played like this all year? This is such a massive improvement.

At least they are looking in the right places, at progressively oriented managers with experience developing players and not at another big-name retread. Ragnick would be an odd choice though because he has a front office management role at RB, a role Levy normally keeps for himself.

Damn, I liked ten Hag. Maybe Ajax demanded more than Levy wanted to pay to let ten Hag out of his contract.

City averaged 101 league goals the last three years; they are on page for 79 this season. City averaged 85 xG the past three years; they are on pace for 74 this season.

I'm rooting for Pochettino. City have shifted style this year to focus more on defensive possession and less on all-out attack. It's been very effective, but it's less fun to watch. City-Cheslea has the potential to be dreadfully dull, as anyone who watched their FA Cup semifinal can...

Spurs actually have turned over a lot of the Poch-era squa and still have a fair amount of youngish/early-prime talent: Dele (25), Ndombele (24), Lo Celso (25), Hojbjerg (25), Winks (25), Reguilon (24), Sanchez (24), Bergwijn (23), Rodon (23), Sessegnon (20). Kane is only 27 and Son 28 -- not...
