    April 9, home opener

It's been a fair few years since I posted here and I must admit I was amazed my login details still worked, but I just wanted to say how much I enjoyed the events leading up to today's game. From around 1999/2000 I spent all my free time here on SoSH & particularly in 2003 & 2004 and what...

5/11-5/12 Game Thread: Championship Sunday, and Championship Playoffs

Congratulations to City, our league season ends not with a feeling of failure but one of immense pride in what we've achieved this year. Let's take a day or so to reflect on that, let the players have a short break then the work starts again as we focus on Madrid.

5/11-5/12 Game Thread: Championship Sunday, and Championship Playoffs

It's been a while... I approach the next two hours more in hope than expectation but if things go our way, remind me to tell you a little story from earlier today... #allezallezallez #LFC

Liverpool 2018-19: Alisson, I Know Lovren is Killing You

So we've now played every other team in the league (19) and Alisson has conceded 7 goals - the same number he conceded in two games against us in the CL semi for Roma last season.

Champions League Final - Heavy Metal & Los Merengues

For various unimportant reasons - some personal, some professional - I've not been around SoSH much in recent times but given what's going to be happening in Kviv in less than 24 hours time I thought it only appropriate I show my face. Due to work this week I've managed to keep my brain...

RedSox and Yankees will be in London next year on June 29-30.

I may be amongst the minority in my own circle of friends by being a baseball / Red Sox loving Brit but I really think that the attendance is more likely to be 80/20 UK/USA split rather than the other way around, no doubt helped by the teams involved. Even Brits without any interest in baseball...

    July 2017 MLB Game Thread

Someone's getting drilled soon - just, because... Nats HR #8 has just landed.

    July 2017 MLB Game Thread

I only turned MLB.tv on to watch for a while after finishing work but can't turn it off now - HR number 7 just landed in right-centre field. 0 out in the 4th and 7 HR in the game, plus Travis Shaw hit one for the Brewers in the top of the inning. Has DC been elevated due to some seismic shift?

    July 2017 MLB Game Thread

This is pretty amazing, Rendon just made it 5 HR out of the last 6 batters. Daniel Murphy was the guy who spoiled things by making a fly ball out.

    July 2017 MLB Game Thread

Nationals just hit 4 HR in a row and still only in the 1st innings with 0 out! Edit: 3rd inning, not 1st.

    Liverpool 2016-17: Klopp's Kop

What with work and a serious knee injury, I've not been around much recently, but happy days today... Talking of money, here's the payout for this season's TV money and JWH can raise a glass but just note that Bournemouth - with a stadium capacity of less than 12,000 - has just earned over £123M

    Game Thread: 01-2/3/4

No rest for the wicked - and particularly the Liverpool and Man City players who only finished their game 41 hours ago - so here we go with the start of the second half of the season. Just the 6 games today with interest at the top & bottom of the league. Middlesbrough v Leicester City (12:30)...

    Liverpool 2016-17: Klopp's Kop

The guys is having no luck at all...Danny Ings done for the season after picking up a knee injury in the EFL cup game vs Spurs last week. I don't know if it's good or bad that it's not the same knee as the one with the ACL injury last year but he must be devastated...
