    Covid and MLB

Well, JBJ has a really good shot at this year's batting title. So there's something for you.

    The Gerrit Cole/Willie Randolph Connection

https://www.espn.com/mlb/story/_/id/29513304/the-power-pinstripes-how-gerrit-cole-bought-becoming-yankee I think Randolph is actually hugely underestimating his popularity and legacy here. Growing up in the suburbs, yeah Jackson and maybe Munson were the real stars, but Willie Randolph was...

    Only God Can Judge Judge

Sony and the Playstation Network need to levy a hefty fine/suspension on Gleyber. That much is obvious at this point. If he's earned any virtual pieces of metal or other in-game achievements they need to be annulled as well or even retroactively awarded to Severino.

The Martian Is Wounded: The Jasson Dominguez Thread

I just love this kid's swing, too. It's not beautiful, like Strawberry's whipcrack, or threatening like Sheffield. It's just simple and compact; pure damage dealing business.

The Martian Is Wounded: The Jasson Dominguez Thread

Seems like it. I was wondering how much of a jota (soft J, like Jorge) he used, but it seems like Jason like Giambi is going to be pretty acceptable.

The Martian Is Wounded: The Jasson Dominguez Thread

I didn't realize Jasson was that jacked. I'm also shocked that he has 6.3/60 speed with that build (Billy Hamilton is a 6.2). The Bo Jackson comparisons actually make sense. I'm also glad I now know how to pronounce "Jasson".

    Following Former Yankees 2021

I had a perhaps irrational love for Granderson, lol. He was always the coolest guy in the room, and he was on the same team with Ichiro and Jeter.

    2019-20 Yankees Offseason Discussion

Pomeranz would maybe be a recent example? He got flipped for a 45 FV. Not quite the same thing, but Shane Green and Kolarek were kind of similar situations: short term performance for future value. I may be reaching here.

    2019-20 Yankees Offseason Discussion

Yeah, I probably shouldn't have even mentioned Miller/Chapman because that was a bit of a perfect storm. I'm thinking less of investing in relievers with a "name" and flipping those (though that can work, too), but more those who are kind of lottery tickets. Assuming you're in the right part of...

    2019-20 Yankees Offseason Discussion

As the Red Sox and Astros have somewhat limited financial flexibility in the near term this might not work for them, but I'm surprised more teams don't try sign more high ceiling relievers with the sole intent of short-swing flipping them for pre-arb talent. It's typically not that much of an...

    2019-20 Offseason Discussion

I know these people exist in a different world than us: but can you ever imagine owning an MLB team and not being like Steinbrenner? That would be my dream.

Failed prospect sues Yankees, says Jeter reason he never made majors

"It eluded us then, but that’s no matter—tomorrow we will run faster, stretch out our arms farther. . . . And then one fine morning— So we beat on, boats against the current, borne back ceaselessly into the past."

Domingo German suspended 81 games (63 for 2020) for domestic violence

Trade him to Houston. Our front four is ridiculously strong. I'll take Happ and his salary over a domestic abuser any day. Or move Happ and see what all these kids can do.

    2020 Coaching Carousel: #AnyoneButMcDaniels

If I were Rhule I'd be very wary of taking a job under Gettleman. Rhule's reputation is that of an innovator, happy to glean knowledge from progressive high school and college coaches. Gettleman is stuck in a mid-nineties NFL mindset and still thinks the way to win is pounding the ball on the...

    2019-20 Yankees Offseason Discussion

Just want to say that I'm with ThePrideofShiner. Not to re-examine the whole deal or guess what's in his mind and heart now, but I don't really want to root for Hader.
