    2018 MLB Draft Uber-Thread

I love Shugart. Have seen a lot of him down here at UT. Was at Sunday's game against Indiana when he came out of the bully to strike out the last two hitters. Kid is tough. I would think he'll start one of the super regional games against Tenn Tech.

2017 Gold Cup: Our B team is better than your B team

That was some crazy shit with Malouda. Was in the mixed zone after Costa Rica-Canada and saw him coming back from initial warm-ups. Asked: "Are you playing?" Just smiled and gave a thumbs up. I hadn't seen the Honduras-FG teamsheet so I didn't know he was suiting up. Dude owned it last night...

2017 Gold Cup: Our B team is better than your B team

Off to Houston in a few to cover tonight's games. If you can't get excited about French Guyana, I can't help you. Honduras looked good in opener against Costa Rica, just couldn't finish chances. Eager to see how the Ticos and Canada shake out. CR should win, but Canada are at last offering...

    Yanks Abroad: Summer 2017

Danny should do well at Huddersfield playing for Wagner. Feels like a good fit.

2017 Gold Cup: Our B team is better than your B team

Gold Cup time people! Tourney starts on Friday. Outside of U.S. and Mexico, I think Costa Rica has a team that can contend for the title. Fun fact: Florent Malouda, who played in the 2006 World Cup final for France, will represent French Guiana in the Gold Cup.

    October 27, 2004: Where were you/Best Memory?

So many great memories from that night. watched it at the big Red Sox bar here in Austin. Broke down weeping when Foulke underhanded to first. Bought a bottle of Dom at the bar and celebrated like hell. Have probably never felt at peace as much as I did that night and the next day. Total bliss.

Penn State AD and Sandusky Charged

Could not agree more with Awesome Fossum and Bongorific. Frankly, all of the stuff that Bongorific alluded to would seem just so inappropriate at this time. Cheering and joy from 90,000 on Saturday is just too uncomfortable of a juxtaposition for my tastes. I won't be watching.

Penn State AD and Sandusky Charged

I don't believe this has been posted yet but here is the clip of Mark May from ESPN with his take. Definitely the strongest voice among all the talking heads there in Bristol. http://espn.go.com/video/clip?id=7217029&categoryid=2378529

    Formula One

You and me both. I have no clue where this would happen. They are saying it would be starting in 2012 so it would have to be a road course since there isn't anything remotely close to a track here. This all means that the international racing audience will get to see our famous homeless...

In terms of race prep, I actually did fewer miles this year than the previous two. I basically ran 4-5 miles on both Wednesday and then again on Friday and then did my long run on Sundays. It's funny, for a while I didn't feel like I was really going to be ready to run it until I did my long...

Hey everyone! A great day yesterday. Finished in 3:56 and met my goal of breaking four hours. First time I have ever done that. So yesterday turned out to be a good day weather-wise. Temp at the start was clear and 43 degrees, but I knew it would be warming up as the day got later and it did...
