Clinical(?) from Nunez.
Give a million Darwin’s a million shots and you get one masterpiece.
Just noticed something else on that goal that we haven’t seen in weeks. It doesn’t directly contribute, but it’s part of what used to bring Liverpool success.

Watch Fabinho. He runs ahead of his pass anda slides in ahead of Trent and draws two Newcastle players. The entire center of the pitch in front of the Newcastle back line was wide open space. He hasn’t been making those movements this year.

Hilarious from Dubravka. Forgets he’s down 2-0 and meaninglessly dives on a ball, only to remember and fly back up.

6 points out of 4th and they have a game (or two) in hand over most ahead of them. For the disaster they've been so far, I'll take it.

Leeds seems like they're in trouble because they sacked Marsch, figured they'd get their new guy in quickly, then all of their top candidates rejected them and the caretaker is starting to go and get a bit smelly.

Dalot - ten bob bit fit. Should have scored.

Leicester have had so much joy coming form the right flank, but they seem to hang on to the ball a little too long and the moment quickly passes where they might have a relatively simple shot on goal. And de Geah had four shredded wheat this morning.

Is it horrible that I wanted him to get hurt or sent off, so we could have the comedy of Schar or Burn pulling on the keepers shirt?

Everton bossed that game for 90’, albeit not with attractive football, and would have had a couple more with even a tiny bit of composure in front of goal.

Leeds did not trouble Evertons box at all. Like, zero. It was embarrassing, how little fight or spirit they showed.

despite the win it was overall a tough day in the relegation fight, since other sides at the bottom grabbed points, improbably- Soton beating Chelsea, Forest nicking a point from City, Bournemouth beating Wolves- but watching Leeds gave me the strong sensation that one of the three sides that would sink low enough to keep Everton up has already self selected.

The “I wag my finger at you for booking me, you bad ref” is the loser move of all time. Just stop it.

I thought that was offside.
Me too. Normally they keeep the line on the screen for a good few seconds whilst the commentator spraffs some pish. They gave it a couple of seconds, not a lot of time to get a guid look. I need to see it again.

and now it's 3 and this one is done. Leicester will rue their profligacy in the first half of the match.

Union Berlin and Schalke with a pretty uninspired first half ending 0-0. Union has the chance to go top of the table, but have just so many important games going on now it must be a little tough getting up for all of them. At least Fischer is able to do a little squad rotation, because he's going to need everyone at their best for Ajax followed by Bayern next week.

Now 3-0 and you’d have no clue that Leicester was the better side for much of this game

It was a pretty classic trap game for Union Berlin against Schalke. It was the rare match without the appearance of a cohesive gameplan. The only criticism I could ever give Urs Fischer is that his teams haven’t shown up against last-place competition the last two years. But it’s a no-win situation where he rotated the squad and they couldn’t get anything going. Team just looked flat, which is also not surprising given the other matches surrounding this one. They’ll need to be much better on Thursday and Sunday.

West Ham have a nice leg up in the relegation scrap with handballs being allowed for them.
I get why they might say he was falling over, but I'm sure it was coincidence that Kane was right behind him...

Is your stream blurry? Mine hasn't looked good at all.

Spurs are playing an extremely defensive lineup with Davies and Emerson as the wingbacks. They are really lacking a cutting edge. Just not enough threats.

Their off-ball movement isn’t budging West Ham. I don’t know if that means their patterns aren’t generating danger or if West Ham are well disciplined.

I would love to hear the argument against that being a handball.
For my money he was getting pushed and then pulled by Richarlison which is why he almost fell over, but then didn't.. looked to me that he would have fell over if he'd been let go.. and he wouldn't have almost fallen over if he hadn't been shoved in the first place.

Spurs didn't spend $50M on Porro for him to play right wing back, they paid $50 for Porro's presence to fix Emerson Royal.

Auf Schalke!

Need to start actually winning, but current performances are a million miles from the shitshow that was the first half of the season. Almost certainly too little too late, but at least it's... you know... worth watching.

And then Davies and Emerson produce that sweet goal.

Also, Sonny---20 starts, 1 goal. 2 games off the bench, 4 goals.
