Not sure I can fault Swayman for the 1st and 3rd goals, but woof he did not get square on the other two shots at all.

They fell apart in the 3rd again, this time against a team that played the night before. With the high standard they've set for themselves that's a bit concerning.

Please. They didn’t “fall apart” they scored to go ahead, and then gave up a goal that should have been stopped with 1 second left.

Counter: by xGF%, the Bruins dominated the first (84.7% 5v5), then got decently outplayed the rest of the way (Florida’s 3rd period xGF% was 63.1%).
The game I watched, the game got to OT because they couldn’t get the power play going. That was the difference.

Looking at that OT, they could’ve given a shit about that OT. They gotta play another good team tomorrow at 5. That’s why I said this is a difficult trip.

I said in the season thread, if they get 5 out of 10 points in this trip I’ll be happy. And they’re still on pace for that. Just beat with Carolina or Toronto and it’s a good trip.

Just saying, they were up 3-2 with 2 seconds left. They get one save and it’s over.
Carlo cross-checked in the back, (#62) went down and then flailed helplessly at Barkov’s stick from his knees. I’m betting he wishes he’d gotten back up faster and made a play. That puck had eyes, though.

It was a shot that could have been stopped. That’s how playoff games are won.

Agreed. I think Carlo, quicker to his feet, would have had a real good chance of deflecting it or blocking it. Sway was subpar tonight but it looked on the replays like he got screened on that shot. It’s unfortunate. This is precisely how losing streaks start; bad puck drop, failures to finish, failure to finish the last 3 seconds of regulation… Carolina and the Leafs will both be hungry and we come to town with some bad habits creeping in. I hope they find a way not to swoon here.

Best thing for this team right now, they need to face some adversity be reminded this is an effort league before the playoffs.

A couple of frustrating games. Let's get back on track today with Ullmark in net.
