The Hellenic flu goes international.
Looney hacked on his wrist a couple times yesterday... I don't know if I just haven't been paying attention in enough games or if it was real.. but it just seemed like Golden State did a lot of swiping down on every drive to the hoop in attempts to strip the ball prior to players going up.. it seemed like almost every drive. Not sure if that's something that GS teaches or it was just coincidental/purely anecdotal.
Now that you mention it, that could also explain why Tatum wasn’t driving as much as usual against Golden State.Looney hacked on his wrist a couple times yesterday... Yeah this screams "schedule loss" but this team doesn't seem to believe in schedule losses. JB now gets to be the first option. He goes for 40 today I think. No Tatum, let down game, road, weird start time. No shame if they get dusted tonight.
Great time for a Brownian Motion statement on the day All-Star voting closes. LFG! Throttle Toronto!Yeah this screams "schedule loss" but this team doesn't seem to believe in schedule losses. JB now gets to be the first option. He goes for 40 today I think.
It does scream schedule loss but with Tatum out there might be a Ewing theory game (is that what it's called?). Lot of guys getting minutes and time with the ball in their hands who are eager to show they can step up, hopefully...Yeah this screams "schedule loss" but this team doesn't seem to believe in schedule losses. Scal trying to give us a heart attack
What happened?Yeah, wtf was that?
Jaylen bumped into Rob after stealing the ball, and Scal seemed to think Rob's knee had been hyperextended or had bent the wrong way... and it definitely hadn't.What happened?
Eek. Not cool.Jaylen bumped into Rob after stealing the ball, and Scal seemed to think Rob's knee had been hyperextended or had bent the wrong way... and it definitely hadn't.
Me too. The Raptors broadcast team opened with a long nonsensical riff about JB and Siakam being drafted the same year but Siakam having to fight his way into the league while JB was (by implication) handed minutes from the get go.Ugh. My stream is the Toronto broadcast.
Toronto announcers are talking about precisely that right now.Grant is getting paid.
Also: Trying to channel Dick Vitale. Apparently thinks people want that.Me too. The color guy (Armstrong?) has has three or four old school rants about the game being ruined by too much offense and the emphasis on the three ball. I get the impression that this is his go-to material to fill air, because it has a rehearsed, grumpy-old-man tempo. His broadcast partner kind if vaguely agrees each time.
And they are both under the impression Nurse is some kind of coaching savant because he sometimes calls for his guards to pressure the ball.
I did some research and found a picture of their broadcast booth.Me too. The Raptors broadcast team opened with a long nonsensical riff about JB and Siakam being drafted the same year but Siakam having to fight his way into the league while JB was (by implication) handed minutes from the get go.
