Hauser and Pritchard always sitting on either side of Blake Griffin... wonder what those conversations are like

Al does not have it tonight. Would like to see some Blake minutes. At least he brings energy.

Horford really does not offer that much rim protection anymore. Without another big out there, nobody's really afraid to go to the rim

If this were a video game competition, I’d be leaning forward in my seat right about now if I were the Celtics. Pick it up soon or they’re going to lose to a Shai-less OKC team. Gross.

With no TL, teams that can take it to the rack from every position are going to be a problem.

It’s less bad when Cs are hitting threes, but really glaring when they’re cold.

This is the kind of game that really makes you wonder about Mazzula. They look sluggish, unprepared, a step slow…
And people were questioning Ime at the beginning of last season, Brad when some of those teams looked bad, etc.

Last I checked, they still have the best record in the league. Every team goes through bad stretches during the course of the NBA season - Mazzula's real test will be when the playoffs come.

Totally different situation. They've deteriorated over the course of this season, not improved.

[EDIT, season, not situation.)

They started the season winning a bunch of “would’ve lost it last season“ games and now they have lost like the last 7 of those so it feels bad right now. They are playing very poorly.

They still often have the same impulses to revert to iso ball when things aren’t going well. Can’t keep doing it. Nearly cost them two series last playoffs and helped cost them the Finals.

Brogdon has been awful these last 10 games. Just terrible
Yep - I've been very underwhelmed, he's meant to a high energy guy that score in bunches off the bench when others are struggling but he's seemed weirdly lethargic and disengaged. Not sure this would be reflected in the stats but I feel like so many of his shots clang off the front rim, almost like he doesn't have his legs under him or something.

Fair on the D, but Denver was just on fire last game. I'm not too worried about the D at this point in the season against a team like the Thunder. I'd rather lose a couple games to WC teams to hopefully stay fresher when it matters
Then guys should just get the night off. Playing lazy for a full game doesn’t keep them any fresher.

Giving up a 40 point quarter to the thunder without SGA is ridiculous. OKC with a second quarter layup line. Boston 1-8 from three in the quarter.

Tatum needs to go supernova in the second halfHe’s sitting at only 11 points, 5 from the line. Going to need at least 40 tonight from JT

Before @GSW, they shot 40% from 3. Since then, 31% (not including tonight). Kerr and Curry broke this team.
But how did their 3pt shooting degrade so much? I Are their nagging injuries accumulating? Are defenses covering them a bit better, and they are only good when wide open?
I would like to believe it is a transient thing .... but 10 games is a mite long to be just a "bad stretch".

9 TO vs 0 steals suggests an effort differential, for sure.

As does getting out-rebounded 23-18 by a team whose point guard is the tallest player in the starting five.

Brutal.
