Philly
Oooooooooof. Well… the Union have every reason to feel like crap after that. Good for American soccer, not for Philly.

Bale man. That header is what makes me worried about 11/21.
I don't think he'll be as invisible as he was today for most of the time either. He's not what he once was, of course, but this WC is what he's been managing all his fitness and energy for.

Brasil
Anyone here followed Orlando City enough to say something about how Junior Urso was playing? He is coming back to Brazil this season, probably to play for Vasco da Gama, and I would like to get some inside info on him.

No, this wasn't a contract extension. The Sounders hold a GM retention vote among their season ticket holders every four years.
Well I can see why he didn't want his job security subject to a vote by a bunch of Big Soccer posters, no offense Shiner!

According to the article, Messi would join in 2023, which is the final year of their allocation money sanctions. I’m not sure an aged Messi floundering on the pitch with two other senior DPs plus eight no-name SuperDraft selections is going to bring positive attention to the league.
I wrote this in June 2021 when Miami first admitted they were trying to sign Messi for summer 2023. Thankfully, Miami is no longer a league laughingstock. This could actually be entertaining. Can’t wait to explain to my friends how to watch Messi on Apple TV.

Can’t wait for a couple years to pass so we can discover about the er…creative Inter Miami accounting that went into this deal.

That said, every team in the league should be pitching in to bring Messi to MLS. He’s going to sell Apple TV+ subscriptions and fill stadiums all over.

Aged Messi in the one remaining Northern Hemisphere home of the classic no defense #10 should be just fine. If Maxi Morales can do it, Messi will work.
