Probably not going to matter, but that (last kick) was an obvious 2 pt conversion situation. This is crazy.

Joel Klatt was insufferable with his whining about Ohio State. I'm almost surprised he didn't criticize Tuimoloau for scoring too quickly on the pick 6. When a high powered offense is clicking, but is only up by 6, you let them run it the way they normally do... stop crying that they won't run time off the clock and punt it.

Down 7 to William & Mary with 2:56 left, Rhode Island drives 99 yards and scores a touchdown as time expires. 2 point conversion fails, W&M wins.

Rules question here: OU ran a pretty sweet fake FG for a touchdown vs ISU. I thought, however, that the NCAA rule was a ball-carrier would be ruled "down" if his knee was on the ground. The FG placeholder took the snap with his knee on the ground and lateral/tossed it up to the PK, who ran it in for the TD.

(I can only seem to remember fakes involving a direct snap to a standing runner or passer)
Can anyone clarify?

Well, if that was the case, no team could ever try to kick an extra point as the play would be dead, right? (When holder catches the ball before the kick.)

Exactly, Ferm. I didn't know of any specific rule(s) governing holders. I imagine it would be nuts to see a holder complete a pass from the same position (however unlikely).

Florida with 17 unanswered in the 3rd, down to a one score game with Georgia (28-20 Georgia, 3:31 left in the 3rd).

I’m pretty sure Jimbo was berating a trainer for starting a concussion check with Weigman. He clearly wasn’t right after that hit and looked absolutely lost and in a daze the rest of the game. Think that’s going to be a big story.

Holder has basically no restrictions on what he can do, and can have his knee on the ground without being down as long as the team is in FG formation at the snap.
