This game is still not a done deal but the MFY falling behind 3-0 and then having to hear about the 2004 Sox for the next 24 hours would be sweet ass sweet
this morning an admittedly stupid part of me actually entertained the idea that it would be preferable for the Yankees to win this one just so the Astros wouldn’t go up 3-0 and risk collapsing.

like I said: admittedly, stupid.

I once subscribed to this idea, but Houston has the pitching

Carpenter hearing the boos, which isn't really fair since he is just Matt Carpenter. But it's nice to see him paying for that Barry Bonds impersonation he did this summer.

Wonder when the batteries and loose change comes out? Or is the stadium too white collar for that these days?

Dusty feeling a little too bulletproof here using that rookie. One medium fly ball from one of these clowns in this bandbox and it's a nail biter again.

...... he got away with it, but that could have gone sideways in a hurry.

This really just some pathetic stuff from the Yankees. Only Stanton looks close to himself offensively this series.

You really think this is a good time to experiment with this kid on the mound Dusty?
I didn't think it was that bad a move. Five run lead against the bottom third of the order, when you'd like to give your regular 8th-9th guy some added rest. He got squeezed against Cabrera and Dusty got him out of there exactly when he should have.
A little dicey, but worth seeing what they have in the kid

Meanwhile, neither starter survived the first inning in the NL game

Things I learned recently: a person named Greg Weissert plays Major League Baseball made the ALCS roster for the Yankees.
