I will be in DC all Saturday unable to watch the massacre in Austin. 42-17 is my feeling; I'll be tickled as punch if Texas can keep it within 21.

That's pretty close to the Arkansas score last season. And Alabama is definitely a move up the food chain.
Texas I think is substantially more competent this season on defense. They have some actual talent, albeit freshmen and sophomores that'll get exposed but learn week to week. I think they can finish 8-4 if things break for them. But I expect 6-6.

Good news for Wake Forest fans. QB Sam Hartman was cleared to play and he will start Saturday at Vandy. He has been out since early August after developing a blood clot in his subclavian vein which was successfully treated with surgery and medication.

Man, Alabama is getting away with everything. Clear DPI there. Plus knocked out the Texas QB on a dirty hit. This is ugly.

I'm sorry this is the second time you said that and it's just not true. Ewers was in the air as was the Alabama tackler. He hit him and took him to the ground. That should have been a no call. Even Joel Klatt mentioned it was a bad call. I mean it was a football play and the kid got hurt that part sucks but it was in no way dirty.

You can't use your full weight to drive a QB into the ground to prevent injuries exactly like this.

I know the rule but I also know that both kids were airborne. Maybe it's a foul by the letter of the law but calling it dirty is incorrect and not objective.

I simply disagree. That rule has been in place for a number of years and players should know better. These injuries are a common enough result of that type of play, and it's exactly what happened. Saban would lose his mind if Young took a hit like that.

You're wrong. Stop it.

Who is this guy trying to defend the call? "The roughing call is subjective..."
