UConn's lineup and starting pitchers are very good. Their bullpen has been a disaster.
We’ve got our ace going tonight so he’s gonna have to give them at least 7 strong and hope the lineup can stay hot.
Penders and his staff are as good as any in the country, heck of a ride a ride so far.

UConn held on for a 13-12 win. Stanford scored 6 runs in the 9th but couldn’t tie it up. Uconn is 1 win from becoming the first Northeast team to go to Omaha since Stony Brook in 2012.
If they won the CWS, they'd join Holy Cross as the only other New England team to do so; just like they joined HC as the only NE winners in basketball.

Sooners are going to Omaha! Whoo hoo! Another seeded team (Virginia Tech) out of the tournament.

Translation for canderson: Meth-head land thieves are going to the College World Series!

This always makes me LOL cause the audacity of it.

Texas needs to win to counter the evil that is piggy, aggy and dirt burglers
As awesome as it sounds, I cannot stand Omahogs. They ain't ever won shit there, and the last time they were given a cookie they let it drop. Fucking win something before claiming Omahogs.

That’s why it’s funny. It’s like A&M claiming a SEC title. It is imaginary.

However If they do finally win one you better believe my wardrobe will be nothing but Omahogs for like 6 months. I had my finger on the purchase button in the 9th of game 2 in 2018 but alas...

Ugh, ESPNU. So now it's a three way race to see what happens first: UT coughs up a four-run lead, I fall asleep, or this YouTube stream gives out.

That didn’t go so well. Ugh.

One more shot today. Winner heads to Omaha. One thing about today… Don’t be shocked if Peterson pitches. He threw 66 pitches yesterday and in the majors that would almost certainly rule him out today. But this is college and these guys get WORKED. If he says he’s feeling ok, I wouldn’t be stunned if Penders gives him an inning or two if it’s a tight game.

It would be funny if OK and TX played for the championship in a Softball World Series redux.
Unfortunately they're on the same side of the bracket (ND vs Texas, A&M vs OU) and the other side is pig vs Ole Miss and then whoever wins the two game 3s today (go Uconn!)

Peterson got ejected so he has a four game suspension (got ejected after Penders took him out as he was not happy with the umps tight strike zone).
Uconn did not handle the two lefty Stanford pitchers well and I’d imagine they are both available today. The Huskies have to jump on the Stanford opener early and often or it could be their swan song.

Oh I didn't know Peterson gets a four game suspension. Oh man that's unbelievably terrible for him and UConn, because even if they win today, he's basically toast for the season.

Did Peterson get tossed during the season as well? 4 games seems stiff.

I believe that’s the rule for pitchers if they get tossed. Four games.
Anyway uconn goes down to Stanford.
UConn scored three times in the first but had second and third no outs and couldn’t tack on and Stanford makes them pay. 10-5. That Stanford lineup is damn good

Six SEC + future SEC teams. Not represented are current #1 Tennessee and three of the last four champions (Mississippi State, Vanderbilt, and Florida).
