This is awesome - BB never changes. Draft night has been the same for like 22 years. I used to get pissed but now I just roll with it and enjoy it

If Strange can’t play immediately then I’m sorry BB should not be shopping for the groceries anymore.

Agreed. BB picking Mac last year was such a stunner because it made sense, none of our others ever did and yet we still win 6 rings.

Bill has a great track record of finding interior OL starters later in the draft, I hate this pick for a team with that many holes at CB and LB.
Plus it's filling a hole that we didn't need to create in the 1st place by trading away Mason. We have other needs!

That feels really, really early for Strange. I had him tiered with Dylan Parham and Sean Rhyan and would have been relatively indifferent among the three in round 3. I would 100% have traded back.

But slots right into the open OG spot and is a quality player who was I had circled on my list.

Of the three OGs (after Zion and Green), SMU had them graded like this:

Parham 7.25
Strange 6.99
Rhyan 6.99

Like the player. Just... early.

I think I've figured it out... Roger secretly docked the Pats a first rounder for something, but rather than take the pick away he just made them draft a 3rd rounder with the pick...

a guard.

wow. So we traded our best guard for a fifth, just to take a guard that would be there later.

I don't think I've ever dislike a draft as much. I can't allow myself to continue to watch these.

Nah, McCourty was widely viewed as a first round pick. People just desperately wanted Dez Bryant.
McCourty was mocked in the 4th round by many, as I recall. The Pats were panned for picking a “special teamer” in the first.

Awful pick. Zigging when the rest of the league is zagging...when you absolutely should be zagging.

Whatever. The talent has left the building.

I am confident that he will be a really good player for them. They don’t usually fail on interior linemen. It’s just that by most accounts they could have gotten him much later than this, and then they’d still have a really good interior lineman PLUS a guy like Travis Jones.

So that’s just frustrating. But still... I’m confident that he will be good.

They have a terrible defense and no weapons and just took a fucking lineman they could have probably got later (or someone comparable)

belichick the gm no longer has tom Brady at a relatively cheap contract and he’s getting old

I don't know what calculus went into trading Mason for nothing and then replacing him with a first round pick.
This is my problem with this. You have a guy that is a known figure. Is he getting paid a lot? No, not really (yea I get that he was like 7th for guards or something so he wasn't a net positive in value, but anyway)
Then you trade that guy for a fifth, just to take reach for a guy in the first round at the same position, when the team has various other needs.

This guy better be Logan Mankins from day one or it's worse than all those round 2 DB reaches.
