One team has the best keeper in CONCACAF history and one doesn’t is what it comes down to right now.
Tim Howard ain't walking through that door.

But that is basic stuff, if you cannot 110% catch it, punch the shit out it, not let it drop feebly into the mixer. I'm only a retired CB and sometimes wingback. I think @DJnVa plays keeper still? He can disagree

Target-rich environment or not, Pulisic leaves a lot to be desired on the corner kicks.

Edit: On the replay, Steffen is 100% flat footed on the first goal...like he didn't consider they might win that header.

Bad news is he chose to go to a club where he’s a clear #2 so he’s not going to play much before Qatar. He’s still a much better keeper but I worry a lot about his move
How much run will he get at Arsenal. Practice, practice scrimmages, FA cup, CL or Europa etc? I honestly don't know

Excellent use of the ass by Jedi Robinson. I hope Gregg gives Miles Robinson that film.

Yeah, I am worried about that. He is rarely going to get an opportunity to play. Still, I will trust him more with his hands and his head then Steffen.

Yeah he has to be #1 Steffen just doesn’t ever seem to have complete command of his area and isn’t great with his feet either.
Now if we could get Gio over to arsenal to play as an 8 that is something I’d be ok with. They took the wrong American!

I think Ferreira checking his shoulder to see where Navas was gets the keeper that call 10/10 times.
Maybe. Ferreira was standing between 6 and the spot. Navas sprinted off line into him when he was standing still. But anyway call was made so it is what it is.

Has Horvath (not that I have much hope in him) completely fallen off? Pure curiosity

He’s on a recent upswing. Won the starting job at Nottingham Forrest I believe, got save of the round two FA Cup rounds in a row as well.

Thank God we got that point against Mexico.

A 2-0 loss never looked so good. We're back, baby.
I remember when the schedule first came out my first thought was that I hoped we needed only three points going into the last three games. Needed four and got them.

In calendar year 2022, CRC picked up 16 of 18 points their 6 qualifiers to put themselves in really good position. On their day they can give headaches to anyone and poach a win. I don’t think I would love them as the 4 seed in my group if I were one of the big teams.

Hats off to CR - they closed in blazing form. Hope they win the playoff.
19 of 21 points in the second half of the octo, only a draw at Azteca was a blemish in their resume. Full credit to CRC for mixing in some much-needed youth and for the other-worldly goalkeeping of Keylor Navas, who by the way. is hosting 30 Ukrainian refugees at his Paris home.
