The B's just put up some crooked numbers on top-of-the-conference teams. Don't play down to the competition tonight and get 2 points.

The Chocolate City!
I was in the barn on Monday and Vaak and Steen definitely stood out in their play. Vaak was out there against Washington's big guns and looked solid the entire game. I was impressed. Hopefully he builds some confidence and Bruce keeps him in the lineup.

So is this the one that was supposed to be in Canada? If so, are the canadiens getting treated as the home team and getting last change?

McAvoy and Hall back with PP1. I thought Coyle did a nice job last game making it tough for the goalie to see the shooting lanes. But as long as they go heavy on PP1 and short on PP2 minutes I understand why they have Hall on the first unit.

Butch says Foligno could be back next week so now is the time for DeBrusk to make his mark on the 3rd line. I don’t see a place for him on the 4th as currently constituted.

The bottom 6 (who were admittedly a bit makeshift and jumbled due to injuries/absences) got manhandled against the Caps, sub 10% xGF if I remember right. Looking for a better performance there with DeBrusk and Nosek back.

Cool thank you for the knowledge.
The originally scheduled game in Boston in March will be played in Montreal, so if you have tickets to that game, they are good for tonight’s game. And the opposite for anyone that had tickets in Montreal for tonight.

Vaak looked as much improved over his last time around as did Zboril before the unfortunate demise of his season. I had never really paid much attention to Steen, but he seemed to win -- or at least not decisively lose -- most of the 1 on 1s he got into. And he got into them. I dont recall a lot of fly-bys. Both seemed to my eyes to be consistently pretty good.

The raw numbers for Vaakanainen have been pretty awful. It's only 2 games, so small sample size caveat, but he's been out attempted 38-22, out shot 21-15, out chanced 20-13, out high danger chanced 11-4. His xGF% is a dreadful 29.27%. He's been playing with John Moore which doesn't help.

Steen is more of a case where the analytics and eye test match up. He's been excellent.

Jeez, I don't know if I've ever watched an NHL game on TNT. Am I out of my mind or is this a recent development?
