SF he’s done really well identifying WR the past few years. Ayuik looks like he’ll be a great, Deebo ( still don’t understand how he wasn’t the Pats pick - the guy is made for the NE offense) will be a top end starter if he can stay healthy and that Bourne dude is alright.
Part of that is good talent evaluation, but part is just a willingness to keep investing at the position. The year before Deebo, they took Dante Pettis in the 2nd; he didn't make it through his third year in SF. They selected Jalen Hurd a round after Deebo; he hasn't even suited up yet. And of course even after taking Deebo, they picked Aiyuk in the first. They've used some late-round dart throws as well. This looks like more of it - they leave no stone unturned at receiver.

Good points. Pettis was someone I expected to have a much better career. The fact I forgot about him speaks to how well that career is going. Hit on the 2 of the last 3 WR's drafted probably skews my perception of their discerning eye. That, and burning anger about the Pats passing on Deebo.

QB Garrett Gilbert (SB 49 winner) signed off the Patriots practice squad by WFT amid their cv outbreak.

The NFL also amended the rule that you can only promote a player from the PS two times per season for a non-covid replacement. All the playoff teams will be able to have unlimited PS promotions, regardless of how many times said player has been promoted, and if it is for covid or not.
