Haula had a couple good seasons years ago and has been pretty terrible since. This is an awful deal, at least Forbort is useful

He is a pretty good player - at least when healthy. Hopefully not Kase 2.0

Edit: And primarily a LW so .....
Also listed at C and has a good record at winning faceoffs. Not sure what (if anything) this means vis a vis Jake or maybe Krejci.

Between here and everywhere.
He's played 260+ games over an 8 year career - he's not exactly a random nobody. Whether he's good or not is a different question.
So he’s averaged less than half a season for the past 8 years?

He’s neither someone who has been linked to the Bruins (thus the lol who), and he’s literally the last thing the Bruins need - AAAHL filler.

He missed on season basically and played 80%+ of games in the other seasons (the last two of which are under 80 games). He averaged 16 min TOI/G last year in 59 games. He's a bottom 6 forward at a reasonable price for a team that needs bottom 6 help. Maybe there are better options, and maybe he'll stink, but he's not remotely AAAHL filler.

Maybe sit this one out, yeah?

I don't know if I like the cap number, but signing a PKer/3rd liner at ES tells me they're possible done with DeBrusk... using him as trade bait to get a top-4 defenseman would make me a pretty happy camper all told.

He was healthy scratched a few times last year but sounds like it was a combo of his play and clashing with the head coach.

He's not an AAAHLer. He hasn't seen the AHL since 2014. He's a career NHL player who has lost some time due to injury. His outlier season was a 29g 26a in 76 games for Vegas in their inaugural season. He's bounced around a bit since then (Carolina to Florida to Nashville) but is a bottom 6 NHL player.

Maybe get your math right then? He's played 456 games over 8 seasons, not 260+ (your number) - which is what I was basing my math on.

Sure - sorry for looking at the wrong spot when doing your own research for you.

You can keep loudly bragging about your ignorance of players around the league here though. Makes for great content and a real value add to the forum.

It's not ignorance, it's pointing out these are not the names of the type of player the Bruins need to add when they have players already on the roster who do what they can do at a younger age and less money.

It's the "Who is Karim Garcia" of messageboarding.

Not that Haula's going to put up 29 goals (with 12 on the PP) again - but which B's youngster up front has even put up 10 NHL goals in a season for less $ than Haula is on?

He is what he is - a 3rd line LW who can kill penalties. Adjusted for where the cap is now vs. a decade ago, he's essentially Daniel Paille
