That does not at all look like a man who isn’t thoroughly enjoying his job. He looks nowhere near close to retiring.

Given BB’s dual roles, massive turnover in the FO, in the coaching staff and roster, and multiple Super Bowl runs and hangovers to handle over the last ten years, he doesn’t look much different to me than he did in 2011. Still twirling the whistle. This roster with a promising rookie QB in house should energize him.

So far, Jones has been as advertised. Unfortunately, so has Cam as he's had trucker with accuracy.
Assuming "trucker" means "trouble", what did you see/read?

I saw this:

n a half-speed 7-on-7, Newton hit all four of his passes.
Newton also looked improved in a small sample size from last season.
And many more saying similar. Can you share the source for Cam having accuracy issues?

Is it bad that I kind of hope Cam broke his finger?
Nope I would hope for the same or even worse injury in OTA’s. I hate Newton with a passion. I want him nowhere near the improved talent on the roster.

Guys, the last time our incumbent "star" Qb got hurt and we had to go with a young guy it didnt turn out so well. (ok the time before the last time.)

I don't think there's any positives out of Newton potentially breaking his finger, other than that there would be plenty of time for him to heal up by July training camp.

He has a good relationship with NYG and PHL - I would imagine we get joint practices with at least 2 teams given the lack of a 4th preseason game.
I'm kind of surprise they haven't already been scheduled, although I guess they still have two months to work out the logistics, and there was probably still some uncertainty WRT Covid until pretty recently.

That's a tad bit disconcerting considering that tire fire of a performance from him vs the Chiefs last year.
I mean.. the best QB on the roster was injured and one of the other guys is rookie with just voluntary OTAs.

I prefer to have these daily reports rather than not at all, but aside from injuries or guys no-showing I don’t think we are gonna glean much of anything.

Training camp is when it gets real.

Who gives a shit if Hoyer had a good day in practice?

Any media moron who makes any judgements about quarterbacks based on practice deserves the followers they get.

Cam is the best QB on the roster?
Yes and it's probably not close. He was the best QB by a lot last year. We added Jones, but he's a rookie and rookies are almost universally terrible. Cam was bad starter level last year, that's well ahead of most rookies, and miles ahead of what Hoyer's corpse or Stidham showed last year.

I hope a full training camp, another year in the system and a boost in offensive talent around him works wonders for Cam.

Always been a fan and I'm pulling for him.

I'm pulling for him to play well and for Jones to unseat him.

Does his arm get stronger? His decision making get quicker?

I hope he does well but many of the things I saw him do badly were just on him being....bad.

There's no place for this kind of factualism in this thread.

From Jeff Howe on The Athletic:

• Jackson knocked Harry a full step back with a hand check at the snap. Two quick hands to the chest, and Harry’s timing was off for the rest of the play.

Harry's ability to disappoint never disappoints.

Howe also noted that Perkins has stood out - 3 pass rush disruptions. Ernie Adams keeps showing up.

From Reiss today. Wino feels like a potential trade candidate. I think they'd do it for a 4th or 5th rounder in 2022. Not sure what his value is at this point.

5. Where's Wino? While Uche rises, 2019 third-round pick Chase Winovich seems to be falling into a different category. Not seeing as much of him. The free-agent signings of linebackers Matt Judon and Kyle Van Noy, paired with Uche coming on and Hightower returning Thursday, have Winovich looking at a different picture than this time last year.

I think I would rather keep Wino than trade him for a 5th, assuming he could still slot into the roster without sacrificing something more valuable at another position. He's good injury insurance, contributes on special teams, and could likely generate good pressure as a specialist playing pass rushing situations.

Absolutely right. That's insane.

Who gives a shit about a 5th next year unless Wino got fat or started huffing in the offseason. Cheap, versatile depth is more important.
