Do we really need 2 gamethreads for the final day of the draft? Me think not.

Here are the final set of picks for NE:
  • Rd.4: #120
  • Rd.5: #177
  • Rd.6: #188, #197
  • Rd.7: #242
The remaining needs are at WR, CB, and OL. Picking up a late-round RB is certainly a possibility.

Enjoy the last 3 4 rounds, everyone!

Wow, looks like those flashy language skills come with a big price (or do you have something against round 4).

You mean not having a spoiler-free gamethread? I'm all game, ahem, if you'd like one.
How many rounds are left? There are four, you said enjoy the last 3. I joked that your great puns apparently come with a cost (counting), not a good joke, if not clear.

Not only I was oblivious to the joke, I can't count to 4. I can't even excuse myself as being late at night as it's about 3 PM.

Bedard had 5 RBs listed yesterday, and 3 of them are still undrafted coming into today:

Michael Carter, North Carolina
Kenneth Gainwell, Memphis
Khalil Herbert, Virginia Tech

NFL.com has Carter #2 and Gainwell #5 among remaining prospects.

Interested in some knowledgeable comments on Jaime Newman. Will he go undrafted?

Edit: words r hard

They kept Rohrwasser on the practice squad last year. Not sure if that was just a contingency, or if he’ll be coming to camp to compete for the job.

I’d be a little surprised if they draft a K two years in a row. If they’re out on Rohrwasser, they’ll bring in an UDFA to compete with Folk.

He's already been released

They waived him March 23rd.

What are the chances that Goodell's chair never goes back into his house.

I can only assume they've fixed Roberto Aguayo by now. Dude is a 2nd round pick, how could he fail?

Folk was ~fine last year & unless I'm misreading something on Spotrac, it seems that $1.2m of his $1.6m contract is guaranteed so they probably plan on him being their kicker this year. Doesn't seem like a particularly urgent need.

My post was less "we need a PK" than "BB seems to like drafting PKs".

What are the negatives of Shaun Wade? Seemed to play well every time I watched him.

I think it's 3 in 20 years, going back to the immortal Owen Pochman in the 7th round in 2001 (quickly Googles to make sure he is still alive).

Seems alive. From Wiki:

Following his NFL career Owen Pochman wrote a book, I'm Just a Kicker, and dated Brande Roderick.[3] He is a realtor at Mercer Vine and resides in Los Angeles, California.

If we're going RB, much more interested in a White replacement than a between the tackles back. I don't see much reason to try to upgrade on Harris/Michel until both their contracts are up. Carter to the NYJ hurts because it sounds like he would've been ideal, but what about the guys left on the board?

They've fallen way behind on picks because of all the commercials
