Should be a fun season. The forwards are as deep as ever. Defense obviously leaves something to be desired, but at the same time I'm excited to see how the young guys handle the spotlight and minutes.

Marchand is officially termed a game time decision, but Cassidy was confident he'd play.

Marchand - Bergeron - Studnicka
DeBrusk - Krejci - Kase
Ritchie - Coyle - Smith
Bjork - Kuraly - Wagner

Lauzon - McAvoy
Grzelyck - Carlo
Zboril - Miller

So... with YouTube TV dropping NESN, are there any streaming services where I can watch Bruins games? I'm in Worcester and do not have cable.

Moved this to the game thread for you. Fubo.tv is probably your best option.

Thanks. I wasn't sure where to put it, and thought it a general season question but this makes sense too? Whatevs. I just need my Bruins fix.

We're not doing any illegal stream recommendations here, especially on a public forum.

I’m ready for some goals. Scoring them, giving them up, whatever. This season shouldn’t lack for scoring on either end, so I’m happy to enjoy the high-scoring ride to another Cup. Coyle off to a monster start with a 4-point night tonight. Let’s do it.

I expect the defense to be shaky to start, but the season will hinge on where it is 20-25 games in, IMO.

My exact feeling. I think the defense can be a strength come playoff time, but a lot of that depends on how the younger players develop in a short time frame.

In addition to Miller, I'm especially curious to see what a bulkier Bjork (bjulkier?) can do. Whatever shortcomings that have stood out to me, I've never had an issue with his willingness to play in the "dirty areas," as they say. But, much like the very-young Pastrnak, Bjork lacked the size/strength to consistently succeed there. If that changes, he should be much more effective.

Definitely understood - I was looking for legal services anyway. No issues with paying for what I consume.

There is a single team option of NHL.tv that is cheaper than a full subscription. The caveat here is there are probably blackout restrictions so that may not work since you're in the Boston market. I haven't fully investigated it though.

I bit the bullet and bought another year of Center Ice on Directv. I fell asleep during the Chicago game last night. No excuses tonight.

I am in the same boat... I am a neophyte to youtube.tv -- is there sometimes an option for an 'away' feed? I thought I had noticed that for a celtics game

Smith is apparently a game time decision too. LBI suffered earlier this week, he woke up today not feeling so great. Didn't sound good on that front, so we'll see. The bottom 6 if Smith can't go will be:

Ritchie - Coyle - Bjork (everyone's favorite line from the bubble)
Frederic - Kuraly - Wagner

If he doesn't play tonight, Frederic will get in at some point during the 3-game trip.

I am still saddened by the fact that I cannot pay one person, one amount of money, one time to get every Bruins game for the season.

Unfortunately, no. And they dropped NESN or I'd have just signed up for it again.

I cannot even find that option (for the single team). That being said, this year is probably best case for me as I have NHLN, and since they are only playing NJ/PHI/PIT/NYR/NYI/WAS I will have access to all of those channels, with the exception of PIT and WAS

Single plan is on this page.
https://www.nhl.com/subscribe#plansOf no use if you're in the New England area as the Bruins games will be blacked out. I haven't tried using a proxy with NHL.tv.

Really good shift by the 4th line, coming on after the Krecji line got zone entry and keeping the pressure on for 30+ seconds. I like what I saw from Frederic so far.

Also feel the need to call out that the Devils have had a lot of problems carrying the puck across their offensive blue line. Good 2-layer pressure with 1 guy on the puck-carrier and the other free to take the un-occupied puck.

Um, Bjork looks great so far?
He kinda does this though which is why I haven't given up the dream of him being a 40-50 point guy. He flashes and you think "this is it!!" and then he goes invisible for games on end.

I've liked Frederic so far.

I expected a lot of the new(er) players to have slow legs to start. They don't, and its a noticeable difference.

Brett Ritchie scored the first goal of the season last year. Thought Nick was going to do the honors this year. Another good shift from Freddy.
