G3: Wednesday 8 pm NBCSN
G4: Saturday 12:00 pm NBC
G5: Monday 7:00 pm NBCSN
G6: Wednesday TBD
G7: Thursday TBD

This series should be really, really good. The two regular season meetings were split and each game was extremely physical. Hopefully, this is a series where Nick Ritchie can make an impact. Tampa with last change more often can match up Ryan McDonagh against the Bergeron line. Balanced scoring is going to be really important.

I also wonder if the Bruins will sit back and play more of a conservative game in front of Halak in order to protect him and not get into an up and down game with Tampa.

Should be a fun series between what I think are the two best teams in hockey. We’re back where we would’ve been under the old format in the 2nd round.

Why are there multiple back to back games, including game 7? Wtf?

Dom gives the Bruins a slight edge in the series(52-48) but if Stamkos misses the whole series TBs odds drop to 43. If he’s in for the whole thing it’s a toss up. He figures TB has the edge at even strength, but Bruins have the edge in special teams. Basically from an analytical view this series is as tight as the eye test gives it.

Makes sense since many picked Carolina

I was hoping they extend the SCF into October, rather than hurrying up. This blows. No day off between 6 and 7 blows.

The other Eastern schedule has similar back to backs between 2&3 and 6&7. The only Bs benefit potentially is that we are a day ahead, so may have an extra day of rest prior to Conf Finals.

Both Western schedules have only 1 B2B between 5&6.

Doesn't make sense
Just go every other day with 1 EC and 1 WC game each day. Simple

The lockdown zone costs money every day it is open. They're trying to get that out of the way as soon as feasibly possible.

I didn’t think of that. Considering that, I’m honestly surprised that all eight teams aren’t in Edmonton for this round.

Noon? Crap. I'm house hunting and will be visiting a few houses during the game. Oh well.

The noon start time tomorrow is good. Hopefully it is enough time to recover from the Game 3 debacle, it seems like a while ago now. Hopefully Kuraly will be available, Ritchie & Moore are sitting and give Studs a chance.

Eep.

We've only made 1 actual offer. We were very close to going hard at one last weekend but then we read the solar lease contract... Yikes.

Maybe this weekend will be it for us. I'm about ready to park it and try again next year.

With a baby on the way in January, we had to make it happen now. For me it’s great as it’s closer to work and it’s basically turnkey. I also have enough room to make a full man cave to put up all my memorabilia.

Back to hockey. So, uh, what can the B's do to turn things around? Officials aside, they have been thoroughly outplayed this series(even worse at 5 on 5) despite only being down 2-1 with 1 of those games in OT. They have been terrible defensively and have not been able to finish at the net on the other side. Ever since the disallowed goal against TB in Game 2, the Lightning have completely outclassed the Bruins. Tomorrow afternoon, the Bruins are playing for their season. What the hell do they have to fix in order to win?

They need to be 100% better about finishing plays in their own zone. Too many times the puck is securely on a Bruins' stick in the defensive end only to end up in the wrong hands due to weak clearances, lazy and/or blind passing, or just not being strong on the puck.

Of course it only starts there; the forwards need to be loads better on the offensive end as well—just not doing enough to create advantageous situations in the offensive end.

I may go young tomorrow, Studnicka and Frederic. PSK made the Frederic suggestion and the more I think about it, the more I like it. They'd only need Freddy for 6-8 minutes, hope he can bring some energy and mix it up a bit. I don't usually like falling for the grit and toughness thing, but I'm sick and tired of Maroon having his way. Not saying he needs to fight, but Freddy will punch/shove back. As for Studnicka, they need to find something offensively at ES. It's a zero right now. I understand the concern defensively and along the walls, but they really need to try something else. Kuraly plays if he's healthy.

Marchand - Bergeron - Pastrnak
DeBrusk - Krejci - Kase
Ritchie - Coyle - Studnicka
Frederic - Lindholm/Kuraly - Wagner

Defensively, I put Clifton back in. They are having a miserable time in transition and moving the puck up ice. Clifton can lug the puck up ice, and also brings some more physicality to the table. His roaming tendencies could kill them in a key spot but I think they've got to roll the dice with him. Moore's been idle for too long and Lauzon's weakness is puck moving.

Edit: If the 2nd line starts slow, I might try flipping Pasta and Kase for a few shifts, just to see how that looks and if it sparks something.

I want Ritchie nowhere near the ice. He's been beyond useless.

Yeah, I know everyone hates Ritchie. He's actually been *ok* in real life. They've scored 4 5x5 goals this series. he was on the ice for 2 of them, scoring 1. He's got a 49% CF, 5th on the team behind the Bergeron line and *gasp* Anders Bjork.Only 1 line has outshot Tampa when on the ice, the one Nick Ritchie is a part of. It's like people expected prime Lucic or something out of Ritchie. He kinda is what he is. He's a 3rd/4th liner doing 3rd/4th liner things. His career high is 14 goals and that was like 5 years ago, he's not really a scorer.

The pitchforks and torches should be directed towards the 2nd and 4th line and defensemen.

Yep. I got 30 seconds into reading the lease agreement and was horrified. I can’t believe people sign those.

Good on you for reading the contract some people just blindly sign away.

I am just curious what this means / is involved?

Hockey wise - get Stud in there!
Basically Vivant would install panels for you free of charge but then charge you for the energy the solar panels were producing. To not use them they would force you to buy out the lease (25k or more for some) or charge you the expected rate if you say riped them off or covered them.

Just really targete and predatory sales pitches hooked people with the idea that they would save but instead were paying crazy money to Vivant.

And yes bring on the Stud!

Wow. That is ridiculous. Who would sign up for that (I assume a lot of people)

Let’s hope Kase breaks the dam

Last post I on this swear.

This was a straight flat-fee lease. 20 years, escalating monthly cost, with a total of $54,000 paid. And at the end, we’d have to buy the panels at a price they determine. And they put a lien on the property. But not a “lien”, technically. Except that it absolutely is. Also you can’t sue them, you agree to use an arbitrator. That they choose.

it was insane. Vivint are thieves. Google them if you want to be horrified. The one review site that praises Them is paid by them.
