Agreed. The top tier is reserved for the obvious guys but Slater has been the key ST guy on 5 SB teams. 8 Pro Bowls. 5 1st Team All Pro. It‘s almost literally impossible to have a better ST career.

And since BB loveeees special teamers, I'm pretty sure Slater is right up there as an all timer in his book.
I have no idea where one could check this, but I bet Slater has been a team captain about as much as any Patriot not-named-Brady ever.
Furthermore, I think I read that Slater is the only player that BB lets speak to the team post-game. And he does so every week.
