In clutch playoff moments like this one can't help but think about Patriot great Malcolm Butler and his game saving interception in Super Bowl XLIX.

Am so disappointed I can’t check out the wailing there. Those Hateful mouth-breathers are disgusting.
Jesus Christ, pick the worst example of shitty fandom as representative of everyone. Tough shit.

I dunno, I don't think the NFL has enough money to pay for more cameras or invent new tech. Let's just stay the course and keep what's left of the human element. It's worked great for 100 years.

That last angle showed Graham clearly short if New York knows from other angles that the ball is at Graham’s waist.
As Marciano said, he’d have to have had the ball in his mouth. Even if that were true, I’m not sure enough of the helmet was over the line.

While I’m sure the moods were similar at both parties, the one I was at was in San Diego.
My co-coach withdrew from the upcoming team wide ski trip to Lake Placid because it conflicted with the AFCCG. I'd bet good money he booked accommodations today at whatever nearby lodgings were available. Crow will be on the menu.

Edit: Missing important antecedent that we are talking about ardent Ravens fans.

Except for the last 5 years or so, the human element has degraded into dogshit. If they took away replay tomorrow, does anyone think the refs would get any better?

I don't blame the refs for this one; I blame the Seattle defense for constantly sucking on 3rd down.

Tennis started the Hawk-Eye system in 2005. NFL could have chipped the balls a long time ago and end all the guesswork but nope.

The NFL is kind of the perfect league for our post-truth, fake news, don’t believe your eyes world.

Like all this pomp and solemnity to tell millions of people what they’re clearly seeing isn’t actually there.

Do you think he said this in the postgame handshake?

Aaron Rodgers: WILSON, ON SEPTEMBER 4th, I AM GOING TO JAM THAT LOMBARDI TROPHY UP YOUR PEEHOLE LIKE IT’S THE WORLD’S LARGEST METAL CATHETER.

Aren't you not allowed to piece together angles and assume things that you can't actually see in NFL replay? I might be confusing that with the rules in other sports, but I thought that was right.
You can piece together different shots. They even said that leading into it. You could have one angle that showed the ball not stuck in Graham's helmet and then another showing his helmet just reaching the line to gain and conclude the ball did not.

The yellow line isn’t the actual first down marker. Who knows where it is, there’s pudgy middle aged guys hauling a 10 yard chain around doing it. The dynamic of spotting is utterly absurd.

Here
I think they thought the crowd would boo after the first announcement so they let it stand.

I think season will have taken 5 years off of my life when it's all said and done.
This was all house money. I didnt expect them to make the post season when this season started so I'm thrilled where they ended up

I've complained since I was a kid at how they bring out the chains to measure a possible first down down to the inch, when they completely guessed the starting point in the first place.

Fair enough, I must be thinking of another sport. Though it's also fair to point out that there's another shot that makes it seem like the yellow line and the actual first down marker didn't match up, and the actual first down marker was short of the 36. I assume the refs can't use the yellow line itself to determine first downs because it's not real, he may have still been short, but I don't think it's nearly the no brainer everyone is making it out to be.

As others have pointed out it's insane that in a multi billion dollar league this is how we determine first downs anyway.
